Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

How long was the wait from order to delivery?
I scored a needle in the haystack vehicle that someone had backed out of, and was an exact match for what I was looking for. :0

I worked with Jose at St. Cloud Kia in MN. Smooth experience. He had my name from an inquiry a week before and called me when someone backed out of an order upon arrival - I guess to wait for a 2022 sorento.

He held the vehicle for me for a couple hours until I could get to the dealer and sold it at MSRP.

Im only on day 4 but loving it. Thanks Jose and St Cloud Kia

In the ever pretentious Northern Virginia, ALL local dealers are imposing their "market adjustment" of $5k-$10k OVER MSRP. No thanks! This forum led me to Lucas Boehm @ Kia of Muncie (IN), a dealership that honors the Costco Auto Program pricing. I ordered with Lucas late Sept 2020, then changed my order during Dec 2020. Did I have to wait approx 6 months? Yes, I did, but Lucas told me this upfront. The wait was not a problem for me. Others may pay over MSRP, & that's their call, but not I quacked the duck. Fast forward......today, I flew from Dulles, VA, to Indianapolis. I was met at the airport by Kia of Muncie's Fred Taylor & whisked to the dealership. THANK YOU, Fred. Upon arrival I was met by Lucas, who showed me all the features of the vehicle & made sure everything was as expected. THANK YOU, Lucas. Finally, Craig Sutherland quickly handled the financial transaction (no financing) & had me on my way. THANK YOU, Craig. Bottom line....FIRST CLASS. FIRST CLASS. FIRST CLASS. An exceptional experience. Give these folks your business!

I’m in the New York area and just placed an order with Ouafaa at Executive Kia in Wallingford. It was at MSRP with no markup. I read through all the posts and it’s been a while since someone mentioned them. Experience was smooth and easy. She was very helpful and quick to respond. Wife wanted the bench so we’re limited to the EX.

I called Nutley Kia and spoke to Carmen. They were selling at MSRP but weren’t sure if they were able to sell outside the local area, which I assumed meant NJ.

Prior to this, I visited Karp Kia ($3500 markup) and test drove at Yonkers Kia ($3000 markup). John McCabe at Yonkers seemed helpful but I didn’t want to pay the markup. He called me back today and said there was a White EX arriving on 3/23 without a hold in case anyone is interested

Any recommendations for a good dealer who will sell at MSRP in the Austin/San Antonio area? Doesn’t appear this has been asked since 2019. I do see that Stephen in the DFW area is great if not. Thanks for any info you can share.

I am in Spokane. In mid December I spent a lot of time researching and contacting dealers all over the West Coast, Southwest and Mid West. I found only two of them willing to take an order for MSRP. One wanted a $795 dealer document fee. White's Mountain Kia in Casper. WY only wanted $204 for the dealer doc fee. Placed my order with Taylor Thornton (cell is 307 267 3576) who is very honest, no salesman rhetoric and detail oriented so the order was correctly placed. Very happy with his follow up. Yes, Casper is a bit of a trip from Spokane, but, the thousands saved in markup over MSRP other dealers quoted me (including all in WA) more than make up for the distance. Besides, if I decide to have it shipped in closed transport it is still much less expensive than paying the ADM. Good luck in your search. Hope this information helps.
Yup. Ordered mine from him as well. Haven't received the car yet however so far so good. Great price, straight forward conversations, great communication. Hopeful everything goes as expected. At this point no reason to think otherwise.

Two weeks into our search and listening to soooo much BS. Glad to find this forum, and a lot of great info-so kept making calls. Many calls later - found Tony with Sterling Kia, Bryan TX. Things are starting off on the right foot.

All good so far with Ron Bouchard Kia in Leominster MA.

Placed $1,000 deposit on December 20th 2020, just got call that vehicle is ready for pickup today. So less than 3 months from order to delivery. No dealer markup on a Moss EX.

Will update after I take delivery, but very pleased so far.

Just ordered Wolf Gray Telluride. Thank you Tony with Sterling Kia.

Folks ... if you are looking for a Telly at MSRP...I want to provide an endorsement for Chris Huth (678 918-6119) at Matthews Kia at Catersville (45-50 minutes north of metro Atlanta).
I came across his info on this forum, contacted him and put a deposit down Mid December. He kept me informed when the order was accepted by KIA, when the car was getting built and an ETA. It arrived yesterday in a short 2 months since ordering.
His service during pickup was even better. He and his team gave me a stellar price on my trade-in and matched the highest offer I had via VROOM. His finance team was not pushy at all about the extended warranty, car maintenance services, etc.
In 2 hrs time, I was out the door with the new ride.
Can’t recommend Chris and his team enough. Most other dealers in Metro Atlanta are not only hawks but even those offering a Telly at MSRP don’t care to provide a pleasant service.
Hope this helps anyone in the market!

Great to know about Chris at Kia Cartersville. Anyone else in the Atlanta area or surrounding areas aware of a dealer that honors Costco pricing? Thanks!

I'm working with Chris on my order as well. Last time I asked him about Costco's, he confirmed that his dealership did honor Costco program, but he was not sure if Telluride was included.

Other than KIA Muncie, that would be the second known dealership in USA to honor Costco for Tellurides...

Interested, thanks. I spoke with Amber at Cartersville today in fact and she indicated they don’t do Costco but do MSRP. Who knows? It seems strange that Lucas in Muncie is the only one that honors Costco. May have to return to my Hoosier roots for this one 😊

No need to sell below. Invoice is $2,400 under MSRP, Muncie offers $1,200 under. California dealers are $4,000 - 10,000 over MSRP @ 12,400 profit....and people are buying.

Question: when you say invoice is $2,400 below MSRP, who does that? I may be missing an earlier part of your thread. Thx

$2,400 below MSRP is what dealers purchase from KIA, their "invoice." Muncie splits the difference, taking a half, $1,200 over invoice.
