If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hey fellow Telluride owners

Not sure where to post this but, I will put it here.

Is anyone having trouble with their rear windshield wiper fluid nozzle continuously leaking?

Mine is and Kia is telling the techs it’s normal? I dunno about that because it is constant. Anyone else having the same or heard of this issue?

Mine leaks a little when I use the rear windshield washer, but after a few minutes it stops. I am going to run it back into the dealership to have them get that corrected. It should not be constantly leaking. If they told you it constantly leaking is normal, they just didn't want to do the work to fix it.

I agree.

I am going to have the dealer escalate to an engineer like the dealership offered. The dealership tried to resolve it even swiped out another part from another Telluride and couldn't get it to repeat the issue.

I caught it today ran back to the dealership to show them. Thats we Kia tech support told them it was normal. So,

I appreciate you letting me know you are having issues as well. I will share with them that in fact other Tellurides are having the issue.

Thanks

Also,

If they resolve your issue would you mind sharing what they found and how they repaired it?

I would appreciate the help

Good Evening,

I was wondering if you ever had that issue looked at for your washer nozzle?

Picked my SX up from dealer last night. On drive home I noticed a streak down rear window. Thought it may have been left over from detailing. Cleaned this morning and noticed a little while later that it had another few runs of water. Cleaned again and have not noticed since. Will keep an eye on it, at least there are a few of us so not an isolated incident.

I have had mine back to the dealer 3 times. They can’t find a problem. Kia technical told them it’s NORMAL. I wouldn’t think so because it does it constantly. I am going to have the dealer escalate it to an engineer as they offered.

Glad I’m not the only one. Now KIA will have to pay attention to it. Oh, I called KIA themselves about the issue. Never received a call back.

I am happy with my Telluride and Stinger but, this is a pain leaking like that.

Known issue on my Touareg. Looks like someone stole a check valve from BMW to fix it.

Thanks for the tip. That sounds like what would cause it.

Count me in for this issue as well. Kind of annoying and doesn’t seem to be related to the operation of the nozzle. I washed my car over the weekend and have not used the rear washer at all and it still has drips. Wiped it off this evening to monitor in the morning.

I have this issue as well. Going to call the dealership about it. Not sure if I'm happy I'm not the only one or not, wish they had a fox hopefully if we all complain they will find a fix for it.

Update on mine.

It stopped just out of the blue. Hasn’t leaked with or without usage. Not sure if something just worked itself in or what.

But, since it is a common problem that is rearing it’s head. It is best to take it in and have it recorded so that if they do come up with something it can be repaired.

Same here. Had the issue first week or so of ownership. Have not noticed a problem since then. Went and had plates installed at dealership on Monday and had them note the issue in my service record. At least on file now.

The rear washer fluid is leaking on my EX, noticed after using it during the 2nd week home with the vehicle.

So I wiped the drips off 3 days ago and so far no more dripping. I will continue to monitor to see if it goes away like people are saying.

I thought I had the same problem too... until I realized I wasn’t operating the rear wipers correctly. Just turn the knob when you want only a swipe and not push forward on the stick.

This is a known issue that we are working on a fix. Requires moving the check valve closer to the nozzle. Right now there is no room for the valve in the spoiler.

So is this a situation where you run fluid and when it stops, the residual fluid between the valve and the exit continues to slowly drip until it is depleted and then the drip stops?

That’s exactly what it sounds like and makes a ton of sense.
