Order to delivery time

Got the call my Telly arrived today! That was quicker than anticipated!
Wow, congrats. That's got to be a record, less than 4 weeks. I ordered in early Feb (also a GG SX Nightfall like yours) from a major dealer in the Indy metro area, and I don't even have a VIN yet.

The wait time in Canada seems to be much less. I think the currency exchange is driving the business to the great white north eh!

Me, too. I'm in CT, ordered GG, Nightfall, in January, eta 5/8/21, no vin yet:(

I ordered last week of february (wolf grey SXP) and my VIN showed up on Failcat today.
Reached out to dealer yesterday for an update & was told eta pushed out to 5/23 now...☹️

Luther gave me a one-page form showing the order was placed, at the time the deposit was made. They did not commit to anything in regards to the actual production or delivery time line. They did tell me that the orders are averaging 4-8 months, which it appears it will be at around the 4month time frame for my order. The dealer really does not have much to communicate until they get word that the order has started production - and that also depends on also how many orders are in front of yours. You may end up with a 2022.

I will admit, I called them yesterday and found out that the order just started production. Apparently they just received word of this yesterday (03/18)... of course my patience level is zero, and I have called previously a few times about the order to just check in. Didn't expect to hear much, but this time the call was worth it!
I just ordered mine Monday from Luther Nissan Kia and they told me it would be about 3 months for the order. Your 4-8 quote is really making me nervous!

I talked to Luther Bloomington about mine over this past weekend. They're quoting six months on average it sounds like. My order was placed on March 9th, but hasn't even been "accepted" by Kia yet. I guess it depends on the allocations for each trim that the dealership has, and I know I have a bunch of people in line ahead of me. It looks like once it hits production, it's about a month before you should receive it. From what I've read online, they're producing about 1,000 vehicles/month, and hopefully, Covid shutdowns are less of an issue at this point.

Six months is too long for me to wait. I wonder if they just want the orders for inventory and don't care if you take delivery.

None of the dealerships stress when you cancel an order. They are quick to give deposit back too. Most dealerships have huge wait list for cancelled orders and have the vehicle sold before you finish signing the cancellation

I agree it is a long time to wait, especially if you’re trying to trade-in and that value will change. I paid a $500 refundable deposit, and I feel that they’re selling so well that if you back out they’re not concerned about having extra vehicles on the lot. I really hope it isn’t 6 months...But there have been people that have had ordered fulfilled within a month or so on the forum, and some that seem to have taken way longer.

That's kinda what I figured...tell you what you want to hear for the order

Lots of different variables. Depends on what your dealership is allotted for the month and what options are being produced at the factory. Your model and trim level and also where you are on the wait list. Some have the dealerships call them if someone cancels and it’s the same as they ordered then they get one early and there order is then up for grabs

Looks like they received/allotted 19 Tellurides in March 17 SX 2 EX. How many ahead of you?
