Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

Hi @itsmeken , no luck here in socal but Moe from Hilltop will let you order at MSRP and super nice, but they don't do shipping and long wait-list. My brother also went through another dealer from Colorado and also order at MSRP and no wait-list, and also does shipping, so I'm going to chat with them.
Hi @Yeebee29,

Can you provide that Colorado Dealer? I was thinking of going through Hilltop but it does seem they have a backlog of customer orders they need to get through. I think that is why they originally gave me an ETA of 6-8 months.

Thanks so much.

Thanks. I am going to contact both dealers and see what they say.

I appreciate the info. I hope I can get one ordered sooner than later.

I'm getting an LX since a higher model is not in my budget. I started calling dealers three days ago and thought I'd lucked out when the third dealer I called, Scott Kia in Springfield, PA, said they'd sell me an LX for MSRP. I made an appointment to go there yesterday. About three hours before my appointment, I got a call from the salesperson saying that, while they do not charge additional dealer markup, they make you enroll in their Scott Advantage Program for $3,198. I guess I should be glad that they told me before I got there. Now it was back to the drawing board.

I called 13 more dealers and all wanted additional dealer markup. I was getting ready to give up when I called Jason at York Kia in York, PA. He said he had an LX AWD coming in that he would sell me at MSRP and, if I didn't like it, he would order another model for me. I went there, test drove a EX to get the feel of the vehicle and put a deposit on the LX. It was all very simple and straightforward. There was no high pressure. They say they will give me about $1,700 more for my trade than the online estimates that I received from other dealer websites. I hope that doesn't drop when I take delivery

The only negatives were that Jason was very non-committal on when my new car will arrive and my $500 deposit was non-refundable. When asked for an estimate of when the car would come in, Jason would say "I'd like to say two to three weeks but we don't really know." Last night I asked for an ETA on the "Track my VIN" page on this forum and it looks like it'll arrive on April 12 which is two and a half weeks from now.

I am very happy with my buying experience so far. York Kia has been the easiest dealer that I've bought from

Kia of Canton Michigan (near Detroit) helped us get the car we wanted for MSRP. All the sales reps there are amazing including Matthew(finance) and JR (GSM). They are very straightforward, honest and will go above an beyond for their customers. I will definitely recommend them for any Kia purchase. Tell them Sait from Atlanta referred you to the dealership and they will take good care of you. Their dealer code is MI047 and they have bunch of trims coming in the next few weeks. Please reach out to them they will take good care of you.

Another happy customer here who ordered from Matthews Kia of Cartersville.
After finding out that almost all Kia dealers around Atlanta, GA was putting mark-up on Telly, I started lurking around the forums for a few months and came across the 1st post here mentioned about this dealer & Chris. I reached out and ordered mine on Jan 9th, 2021 at the fair MSRP. I had been warned that it could have taken up to 4 months. However, my Telly was delivered on Mar 17th, just a little over 2 months, and I just picked it up today (Mar 27th). Everything was straight forward while working with Chris & his team. I got my Telly at the exact color, trim, & configuration I wanted, so surprise in a negative way whatsoever. Highly recommended.

I worked with Alex from Finnin Kia in Dubuque, IA for my Sorento lease three years ago and now the Telluride. They’ve been very transparent, give me all the numbers up front and it always matches my own calculations. There’s no shadiness going on, they’re not trying to hide anything or mislead you to a poor deal - they just give you a good price and lay it all out without pushing anything. Great experience! Even though we’re now 3 hours away, we still went with them for the Telluride (and will very likely again in 3 years for the next lease/purchase if we stick with Kia).
Hi! I am also in Iowa(Des Moines) but Finnin seems to be getting the vehicle I want. Any other suggestions? Can I mention you recommended them?

Purchased from I25 Kia in Longmont, CO It was a very good experience, they picked us up at DIA from our flight from Albuquerque, we drove the vehicle and went through an orientation and we were on our way. Could not have been better. We were able to order exactly what we wanted, the wait was only about 2 months I think. We place a refundable deposit down, made one change and everything was handled very, very well. The local dealers were marking up $3K so we found several dealers within 500 miles that were not. This dealer was the best for our needs. They had a really good selection when we started looking, that helped us refine our needs to what we wanted. I25Kia.com

Awesome.

I just placed and order this weekend due solely on the refundable deposit. The other Colorado deal (still a good deal) wanted $1000 non-refundable and was about $500 more with their fees. Both gave 3-4 month estimates on delivery.

I will more likely than not have it shipped as I'm in SoCal and don't particularly want to make the drive.

I25 Kia will take great care of you if you purchase with them, we worked with Ashley Phoenix who was very fun and very patient with us through the whole process. We normally don't buy new and even then have not purchased anything in 17 years, so it was a little scary - they will take care of you and will NOT screw you over! We had a six hour drive home, the wife wanted it shipped, but I am glad we went and picked it up. We flew in on a Saturday and stayed overnight on the way home, it was a good weekend. SoCal would be a longer drive, but also a great way to vacation :)

Ed voyles chamblee in ATL are also taking custom orders at MSRP. Nowcar.com also takes custom orders at MSRP. I feel there are now enough dealers around the country ready to take custom orders at MSRP. The whole point is the waiting time and it will impact trade in values if someone is interested to do trade in.

Another fan of i25 Kia. I put down a deposit with Dominic over there. Should be picking up my new Telly in about a month or so. I live in SoCal and they're somewhere in CO. The whole selling at MSRP got me hooked. Happy with the communication so far.

I hear ya. We haven’t bought a car since 2008 and even then I already knew that the dealer was selling just above invoice for a “hot” car at the time (Mitsubishi Evo X) which is still my daily driver. So it has been a little nerv

The Telluride is to replace my wife’s 05 Matrix now that we just had our second child.

I would love to make it a trip, but with two young children, I think they would never want to be in a car again 😀.

So far the experience has been straight forward and easy and I have no doubts not to believe what I was told based on first hand experience here. I just hope that the car comes in sooner than later 😀.

wow that was fast to have your VIN created. Looks like we may have ordered similar vehicles. Hopefully mine gets picked up as quick.

I do know I have to wait until at least the middle of the month for any possibility of KFOS grabbing it.

It was not my my experience during Nov-Dec last year. Some of them even did not accept customized order as they blamed Kia not being able to do so.

Just placed an order with Luther KIA in Inver Grove Heights, MN 2 weeks ago and my order was submitted within the last week. I received an email today with an ETA of 4/26. That was totally unexpected. I was fully expecting to wait 3-5 months or even longer.
How was the pricing? I'm also from MN, just starting out looking at options and getting acquainted to the forum here.

10 months. Yikes. I ordered on Monday a White SX P/NF/T. They told me 2-4 months. As long as you’re ok with 10 months , that’s all that matters. I just hope I don’t have to wait that long. I need a new vehicle. I currently drive a 2006 Ford Five Hundred that is falling apart.
How was the experience with Belzer's? DId you pay above or below MSRP for the order? Just trying to get a feel for the landscape of MN since I'm also in the metro.
