What did you pay for your KIA Telluride?

I paid MRSP but I’m hoping once it comes in that there will be some type of incentives. Does the dealer have to pass those on to us or do they keep them?

Incentives are basically transparent for the dealer. Kia pays for it. They are basically like rebates that the dealer has to fill out to get their money back. So you buy a car that msrps for 40 and there is 2000 in incentives. You pay 38. The dealer gets your 38 immediately and then fills out the rebate info to get the other 2 from Kia. So as far as the dealer is concerned you paid 40 for the car.

LX OTD for 33K is not paying MSRP..that would be well below MSRP...OTD means taxes, title, registration, and dealer fees paid also. I know here taxes themselves would be over 2K..and then fees and such, you are probably talking about 3k for all that, so you are really offering 29.7K for it..they aren't budging off MSRP right now because they are selling about as quickly as they come in at MSRP.

Thanks for explaining it to me

They don't have to and sometimes won't tell you about them. They can use your info to get them on top of what they sell the car to you for. So know what incentives you qualify for before going there and take all necessary supporting paperwork. I take my DD-214 for military discount, registration for the Soreento for loyalty, and a copy of the finance screen from Kia that shows the Kia finance option and rebate. You have all that, you are good to go.

By deal I just mean negotiate really. Looking for someone to get close. Offered 33K out the door for an LX with no upgrades and they wouldn’t budge. I feel like that’s a good price considering it’s over MSRP
Talk to Rick Case Kia in Atlanta and ask for Danny or Ed Voyles Kia of Chamblee and ask for Alan or Patrick. Tell them Mr. Stan referred you.

If anyone is interesting in a SX Dark Moss non Prestige I am about to cancel my pre-order at Brown's Kia. Due in June 6th.

Finally getting inventory here in Cleveland, I now have two dealers with the same Ex I’m looking for (tow pkg) will see if they feel like competing with each other. Well I thought I had two haha, just got this from the one dealer. Not surprised to hear it is already turning sales from the Sorento.

“It does not have a tow package the price is $40905 plus tax title and fees there is a owner loyal or a competive rebate of $1000 if you do a purchase it does not qualify on a lease. as far as pricing these are already, as you know, are very aggressive. so aggressive that kia has announced they are going to lower the price on the sorento for 2020 because the telluride is already priced less than the sorento.”
Was told Telluride price would go up. They are scavenging sales from Sorento at MSRP. What I paid. No inventory. Took advantage of two rebates of $2,500 to get price down.

Alright guys after a long hard search and help from a friend i made in Ohio lol i was able to locate and purchase a Kia Telluride SX black on black fwd without paying over msrp. So my local dealer and dealers within a 4-500 mile radius were pretty much charging over msrp. So i got in contact with a dealer rep from a kia dealership in Ohio, random i know since im from Texas but i was desperate and saw some members here were getting some sweet deals. I ended up getting in contact with Jamie from Herrnstein Kia. He helped me locate an incoming Telluride that was about 250 miles from me. I called and at first they were playing hardball. I insisted and ended up getting 500 below msrp and the 2500 rebates on the Telluride. Ended up paying 43 and some change otd. The dealer was the best i had been too by far. If anyone want information and is from Central Texas PM me. And anyone from Ohio who is looking contact Jamie:jamie.lynch@herrnstein.com he is an person and very helpful! Just tell him John sent you.

Just to give u an idea of what i was dealing with, once i closed the deal, Telluride was ready and i was about to leave the sales Maneger comes to me and tells me how im lucky to have gotten this deal. He proceeds to show me some text messages between him and the sales manager of a dealer i had been working with. The other manager is laughing at him for having sold the truck under msrp, literally mocking him. That dealer sold the same Telluride i bought, plus tow package for $57,000. I look up at him and tell him, what a sucker lol get in my new Telluride and drive off😂

This makes me feel super lucky. Got $1,700 off msrp plus $2,500 rebates plus extra $1,000 on trade in. I don't have the car yet tho, so also very nervous as seems too good to be true lol. But congrats on yours it looks great. I also got black as it looks awesome with black wheels. Got gray nappa tho.

We have two small kids (2year old and 2month old) and my wife wanted black Interior. Personally I think i would have done a comply different combination. Maybe white with dune brown interior. But hey its my wives suv im only paying for it😂 my wife is loving it but we are dropping it off tmorrow to get tue entire front end and four doors wrapped and tints all around. Itll be in the shop all week but itll be well worth the piece of mind and look with the tints. I hope you get that deal, it shouldnt be an issue honestly, and if u do well look else where. I hope these keep their value well and maybe become an icon of some sorts. Kia has something great on their hands they just need to play their cards right.

Haha I'm in the same boat but I get to drive the telly mostly because I take my 6 month old to daycare and pick her up. She insisted on the white interior and I don't mind it. I just need to stay on top of it and keep it clean! What are you getting it wrapped with? Clear Bra? I just recently learned about it as I haven't had a nice enough car to worry about it until now. Have you used it previously? How much is it? Sounds expensive.

Iv never used it. And it is expensive, especially since the Telluride is such a steal. But iv come to find that i need to keep my cars in great condition or i loose interest in keeping them clean. i bought a buick brand new of the dealership lot, 4 years later the paint is wrecked and has rock chips in the front and i just cant stand it. I keep the interior very clean but i almost leave the outside dirty so i dont have to see the defects. i also have a gmc sierra. I had it in prestine condition, no dents, no scratches, i would hand wash it once a week and i loved it. One day i get a MAJOR door ding. It removed paint down to the metal and created a dent. I couldnt stand it but the fix was $600-800 bucks which I couldnt justify. Then my wife side swiped a pole scratching the rear fender and so on. Again i keep my interior really clean but didn't wash it for over a year lol so this time around im doing some preventative measures and protect it before it gets to that point. Iv been quoted for the entire Telluride between 5-8k waaaaaay too much so i decided to do the entire front including bumper, headlights/fogs, entire hood, fenders, four doors and the prt of the roof thats exposed in the front of the Telluride, plus getting tints on all windows, windshild and two sunroofs for $3400 form some of the best installers in my region. Again expensive but we plan on keeping it long term and its worth the piece of mind it gives me. Lets hope it keeps my Telluride looking new for years to come. Last night we got home around 11pm. By the time my wife and babys were asleep, probably midnight. I then went into the garage and washed the front end to remove all the love bugs that splattered on the way home as they can etch the paint if left there too long. All in all, its a great product, it definitely works and protects your vehicle. It will also keep those pesky swirl marks to a minimum.

I got a AWD EX with the S trim wheels for $38,016 at a dealership in Queens NY. It’s Gravity Gray w/ black interior. Also got the $1500 rebate and 1.9% for 48 months. It was mistakenly listed for that price on their website and I was the one, after coming in to purchase it, who made them realize it. Needless to say the next day the prices on their website were changed. Just picked it up Saturday.

Did you pay extra to get the S trim Wheels on the ex?

"Hi all, due to lack of inventory, the internet supervisor at the dealer is asking me to order a Telluride. They are offering me it at MSRP. They were initially giving me a nameless $1500 rebate, but for 60 months at 2.9%. When I referenced the 60 months at 1.9% on the website, they said they can do that, but the rebate only works for the 2.9% rate so I wouldn't be getting it. Working out the numbers, the 1.9% makes more sense in the long run vs. the -$1500 and 2.9%. Should I be asking for more off MSRP (and how should I ask?) or should I be happy to take one at MSRP at this point?"

It is important to work out the numbers. Just to pick a number for financing, let’s say you need to borrow $35,000. At 1.9% for 60 months, the monthly payment is $612. If you take the rebate you would finance $33,500 at 2.9% for 60 months and the payment would be $600. So, you save $12 per month taking the rebate. Also, you would always have a lower payoff under the rebate option should you ever decide to pay it off early or trade the car.

Take the rebate and the 2.9%.

Since when does OTD price (out the door) not mean with tax included? Lol. But yeah if your wife Co signs, you should get it.

The problem with a price including tax, tag and title is that it make the numbers hard to compare. Everyone's tax rate, tag fee, title fee, is different. The best comparable number is total cost before fees paid to the government.

Agreed. But I wouldn't call that price the otd price.

They were already on the car when I went to by it. I believe they said they put them on because the sales manager was going to be driving it but then decided to put it up for sale because of overwhelming demand. I paid an extra $1500 for them but MSRP on them was anywhere from $2500-$3500 at some dealerships. I did find them on EBay, wheels and tires for $2200+ $300 shipping. So I knew what their value was when negotiating.

Here’s a site where you can compare auto loans side by side. Using this tool, you see it would be cheaper to take the 1.9% without the rebate. Though you’re saving $12 a month, you’ll end up paying $800 extra in interest over the life of the loan. If you plan to make the monthly payment minimum, it would be better to have the lower interest. There’s also an option for 0.9% at 48 months with Kia. I know many on this forum talk about taking the rebate and refinancing, but 0.9% is going to be hard to beat for most. Calculators
