• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Ehhhh, this news story fell through.
One of the main Canadian news channels wanted to make the news because they understood that it is possible to write Kia in defense when I have a response from Kia Canada and from the dealer who sold the car.
But the guys from Kia apparently decided not to embarrass themselves. It's a shame.

Did you submit the same photos you shared on this forum to the news station?

The build quality spoils all the positive experiences.

I am curious what the news station’s thoughts were about the defects.

How about some pics of the so called defects?

Yes of course. I have submitted all materials.

Yes, these are defects that should not be.
What did the news station say about this pics? Are they going to run the story? Not sure what town you live in, but if a car's build quality makes it to the news....then I want to move there.

Now, for the time being, on pause, since they are not interested simply in defects, people will not be interested in it. Defects arise from different manufacturers and hundreds of people write to them.
There should have been the following:
1 - Kia has produced a defective vehicle. Defects were 100% visible, but ignored.
2 - The quality department sent the machine with obvious defects.
3 - How Kia is now trying to justify his double negligence.
But unfortunately, or fortunately, Kia simply decided not to embarrass herself and / or ignored the problems, as happens in many cases among forum participants.

Before and after filing a lawsuit, I tried many times to contact KMMG and the quality director, but all without success. Therefore, I got the impression that this is not an accident and / or the inability to give an answer (statement defense), but deliberate ignorance.
Anyway, all this ignorance, I will show the judge so that he understands it.

Depending on how the situation will develop further.

@Kwim , why did you not take them up on the offer to have these fixed?
1 - Repair color of 3 body parts.
2 - color difference, the repair paint is very fragile.
3 - a record in the history of the car, according to the assessment of body repair about 4k.
4 - disassemble half of the cabin.
5 - in North America, the hands of masters grow out of the ass - they do one thing, break the second.
For the reasons listed above, I incur material and moral losses.

I didn’t reject it. I can always fix it under warranty, but I am not satisfied - buying a new car and get a piece of shit, due to the fact that Kia did not eliminate her negligence and just sent the car.

Yes, many would have simply repaired from the forum, but not me.

interesting. have you considered selling it? do you want a replacement telluride despite these issues? what is the outcome you are hoping for in a lawsuit?

if total value is under 5000, are you going thru the CRT?

Selling is a loss. I do not want to suffer losses due to kia's negligence. Moreover, I like the car.

do you want a replacement telluride despite these issues?

Remedy sought:
26. Replace the car with a new one identical in specifications and options without factory defects.
27. Cost of this action.

what is the outcome you are hoping for in a lawsuit?

In theory, the process has already ended. Kai is in default, as they did not respond in due time. in practice, it is generally accepted that if the defendant does not answer, this means that the defendant agrees with the claim. And what can a Kia write there?
Kia can file an application and ask to cancel the default judgment, but a good reason is needed. Moreover, I foreseeing that they will ignore, I repeatedly called and wrote to them (everything is documented) and reminded them, so that I can convince the judge that Kia deliberately ignored.
If there was an amount in my remedy, then I would have already received a court order and could start collecting from the kia. But I am asking for a replacement car.
I can't speak yet, as I assume that the guys from Kia are reading the forum. As soon as I get a court order, I will definitely inform you.

????? What is it?

if total value is under 5000,
By the way, speaking of repairs (trolls screaming that these are not defects):

16. According to the estimate made by the service manager ****************, the total cost of defected parts repairs and paint repairs is approaching 10k +, which is 20% of the cars price. The number of hours spend on the warranty repair (not including the painting of 3 panels) is 50 hours.

I would like to see pictures of all these defects. The paint missing by the lights could be from rock chips and also only needs a touch up pen and a full spray of the panel.

I was just looking for pictures not links to a different thread. looks like most of those blemishes happened at the dealership when they were preparing the car and removing the plastic protection film on the interior pieces.

I was being a little snippy, I won't deny that!

I agree that they aren't huge issues and I don't know if I would have noticed half of them myself. But once its in someones head its not going to end until hes in a different car (not type, just a new one).

I'd agree as well. The OP really should have completely inspected the vehicle before taking possession. If the dealer wouldn't agree to correcting on a due bill then refuse delivery. I'm very picky as well and would have gone that route.
