Order to delivery time

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

what did the deal quote you for delivery? I was told 6 to 8 weeks.

I ordered my 2021 LX Telluride - Moss Oak with Nightfall Package in December 2020- I just received it on April 16th. I am in Minnesota.

Congrats on the pickup! I too am in Minnesota and ordered on March 26th. What dealer do you order from?

Question everyone, I Placed order on March 26th. Have not heard anything from the dealer (assuming that’s normal?). Is it possible to see if my order has been accepted in KFOS, or how do I know it’s been accepted into KFOS? All I’ve received so for was an email receipt showing the request being put in “Kdealer” or “request successfully submitted”? Any guesses if I should be expecting a 21 or 22?

My dealer just sent me an update.
Seems like everything is on track for my Gravity Gray EX

Weird that there's a delayed arrival date despite everything else being on track. I don't expect that it will actually take 30 days to ship from Georgia to Illinois. How long has the actual shipment taken for others? I'm really hoping we get it in before our Memorial Day trip.

Sounds like you went with a bad dealer. Im getting msrp & 100 refundable deposit. Took a lot of searching to find that deal though. If a dealer seems shady, best to stay away.

With the huge mark ups and long waits, you could buy the car and immediately sell it for more than you paid for it. Maybe that is your out?

Yep - I'm very unhappy with this dealer. We stuck to our guns re: MSRP - but made the bad move re: non refundable deposit. Dealer still isn't responding to me re: updating my order. Going to add them to the bad dealer list.

And - yes - definitely considering potentially taking delivery and then selling it. For my new order - I'm working with a different dealer that is higher volume and allows refundable deposit. Lesson learned!

Check your State laws into vehicle refunds. Have an attorney write a letter.

We ordered an SX with the bench seat and expresso leather on 9 MAR 21. The order was entered 10 MAR 21. So far no word from the dealer. I have asked how long their delivery time has been on other Tellurides sold and they have not answered even when repeatedly pressed to do so. At the time of purchase I was told that their wait time was a month and that included 2 weeks shipment time to the West Coast of Canada. Was hoping to hit the road with our new wheels on May 11th but I don’t think that will happen.

So even if your order gets picked up if/when May opens, the earliest you would hit the production line would likely be somewhere in June.

Now, I picked a pretty high volume dealer in Georgia so hopefully they will get an SX allocation they can fill my order with in May, but I am still not going to have great expectations, with the small hope to be pleasantly surprised.

Thank you for your input. I could live with getting a 2022 instead. Sure hope that the Husky Custom floor mats that I ordered will fit though... We ordered through the top selling dealer in British Columbia. The place was a zoo no Tellurides to test drive. The closest we could get was sitting in the seat of a customers car and even that was a hard sell.

My vehicle's VIN was generated sometime within the last week (appeared on Failcat today among the 1500+ VINs that have been "caught up" since Failcat went down about a week ago). So it's looking like they'll hit our revised 5/17 ETA! That'll be 3.5 months from order to delivery.

Just placed an order at i25 Kia with Dominic. Process was really simple and they were incredibly helpful. I am getting it shipped from Colorado to NorCal. He said it could possibly come by end of June.
