Very nice, looks like you don't have to wait as long as some others. There definitely seems to be a wide range of wait times. Seems like some wait for several long months, while others just a few weeks, although most are probably somewhere in between.
Anyone have a clue as to the variables in the waiting period?

They didn’t but I believe it’ll be a ‘21.

Wondering if people can start posting when they ordered and when they received their Kia (or at least the vin).

I ordered an sx prestige with tow on March 13. Nothing yet.

Many of the threads here have gotten hare to follow woth with the side conversations, it would be helpful to just keep this to dates for people’s reference.

Ordered Dark Moss SX prestige with nightfall on February 25th. Arrived April 13th.

I ordered my SX on March 18th and no Vin yet, the dealer claims there are computer chip manufacturing problems but I'm not sure if that's an excuse or not.

So confused...just talked to i25 and was told May KFOS not “hit” yet. Also from what I read, usually in mid month.

On the other thread Stephen also said the 10th of May Is when KFOS accept orders. Do the dates apply to all dealers?

Looks like you ordered the exact spec as me....great taste in vehicles! I ordered a very similar SXP GG/Gray, tow AWD on 4/5 and have not heard a peep from anybody. Told it could be a 5 month wait.

Maybe mine was filled with an existing vehicle that was coming in? It was a standard gravity grey EX.

Stephen already said in another thread that there could be 2 openings of KFOS this month one during the regular time (next few days) for everything except Tellys. And then one later in the month for Tellys since they will be '22MY

From what I gathered from here SX awd is the longest wait but you could check on failcat.com to see your dealer’s allocation in the past months. Generally the more they have the less the wait.

Failcat appears to cover American dealers but I don’t see any details for Canadian dealers. I am with a high volume dealer so hopefully that helps.

Ordered 3/29, Talked to the salesman today, gave me the chip shortage is affecting KIA production excuse, said probably another couple of months. Stupid us put a non refundable deposit down because a body is the detail manager and vouched for the dealership. I'm getting the feeling this dealer, which is a low volume, doesn't completely know what they are doing, or they are just bullshitting as I have mentioned KFOS a couple of times and he completely disregards answering if our order was accepted or not. Fairly certain its going to be a 22 at this point, did get him to agree they will refund our deposit if there is a large jump in MSRP and we don't want it at that point.

Just had my salesguy confirm my order was picked up but said he did not get an ETA because it will be a 22 model and they have not scheduled those yet. He may be BS'ing me, who knows?

Like I said in an earlier thread, if I get it before September, I'll be happy. It will get here when it gets here.

They have had 10 SX AWD VINs in the last 2 months and 21 SX AWD Models total since March so I take that as a good sign.

Chip production is affecting all brand cars right now.
