  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I am not sure where to post this so I am starting a new thread. I originally ordered an SX-P-T on 02/04/2021 for MSRP + $695.00 with a $500.00 NON REFUNDABLE deposit. Did not make KFOS before 2021 shut down. Not a problem. Just got a call from the dealer today informing me I am their first in line for a 2022, but they are now going to charge me MSRP + $2000.00. Before I start any dealer bashing or going to "Bad Dealer Experience" thread I would like to hear what others think????

You already agreed to 695+500 over MSRP. What's another few hundred bucks matter!

All jokes aside...that isn't right of them.

I'd ask for the deposit back and move on. Sure you would have to accept any increase from KIA, but you already agreed upon an upcharge with said dealer, for them to change it on the fly is shady to say the least, greed getting everyone.

Didn't you order from Classic Kia of Carrollton? Is that their new policy? Will the price be a net difference of +$1305 - or is there still a $695 fee? If it's just $1305, I'd just accept the vehicle if you want it.

Is it possible you are both saying the same thing and not counting the destination fee of $1225? 695 + 1225 = 1920. If your original agreement didn't account for destination fee and the new proposal does, you are only off by $80.

Go to a different dealership. They were the highest that I talked to in DFW.
