Got today allocation for 2022’s. Not only are they coming quick some are already built and hitting my store in 2 weeks.

Great news for those thinking we are months away.

Thanks for the update! So for the already built, did Kia build 2022's based on your 2021 KDealer orders that were "cancelled" after not being picked up by KFOS? Or are you getting an assorted order that doesn't match with anything?

Stephen, my dealer today told me that my vehicle was included in their allocation and that I would receive a vin number tomorrow, with ETA late June/early July. How is that possible considering that orders have only been resubmitted in Kdealer in the past week? Is it more likely that this just means that it is confirmed that Kia will be building my Telluride (and thus I will have a vin tomorrow that is generated as the build starts), or that I’m getting an already built Telluride that just so happens to match my specs? I thought vins were only made available later in the build, not at the beginning stages.

We re-entered our orders last week and a ton of them got picked up even some fresh orders.. this is through KDealer weekly allocation not KFOS.. KFOS has yet to open for Tellurides this month.. with amount that Kia accepted in kdealer I now don't know if they will do an KFOS allocation this month or not

VIN's are made at start of build...

Looks like they have already been making so we are getting orders filled that match with what is already built as well

That's great to hear. I'm still waiting on a callback from my dealer who was supposed to call KIA on Friday to check on ours. ordered 3/29.

Thanks for the update! Hopefully the dealer I'm working with re-entered my order like you did. I was supposed to be #1 on the waitlist prior to the MY2022 changeover. We'll see what they say.

So, I got an email today saying my order was “picked up” through DCS. I am just currently waiting on the ETA. @StephenCantrelle do you think this would be one that is already built ready to go (like the ones coming to you in 2 weeks) or would this be one that would be picked up and starting a build for a typical estimated time of 1.5 months or so? I will ask my dealer when he calls back but wanted to see if you’d know the difference off hand. Thanks a bunch for all of the updates!!

Location from factory will be deciding factor on wait time.. even if a Telluride is built with a VIN or isn't . That being said if you are picked up already through DCS aka Kdealer than you will be getting the first batch of Tellurides to your area

I am utterly confused by this whole thing... we ordered an EX on March 26 and told 3-6 months no big deal but now I don’t feel like I’m getting straight answers from the dealer on 2021 versus 2022 — when I asked today they said Kia accepted our order as a 2021 but that they have no ETA and that kia stopped all orders a couple weeks ago (as we know) and the new orders “when they restart them” (which my understanding happened last week) they will be 2022s?? They said they have no information from Kia as to why they are delayed ETAs? All of this seems to conflict what I have been obsessively reading on this board for the past months? Is anyone else getting told this?? Any other insight @StephenCantrelle does this make any sense or are they just messing with me?

Seems like a dealer out of the loop and not keeping up with communication from Kia.. red flags everywhere... if I had to guess and this is just a guess. the 2021 order didn't fill and they neglected to re-enter your order as a 2022. therefore missing last weeks window to enter orders for those dropped.. they will wake up from this after getting notification that 2022's are now incoming....

IF this is the case they will re-enter your order(hopefully they have system in place documenting your order) and you will have to wait extra month to receive..

Highly recommend talking to a manager instead of the sales consultant.. be nice and not rude and just explain that
1.) if your order was accepted as a 2021 then an ETA is attached with it.
2.) everywhere on FB and here people are getting the calls that people waiting for 2022's are being accepted and given ETA's
3.) Therefore Kia must be accepting 2022 orders.

If they dropped the ball so be it... just have them enter you in as 2022... for a EX it should be a quick turnaround
