Latest information on Ordering System(Kdealer/KFOS) starting Sept 2020

So I am in Oklahoma. I looked on failcat & it shows my dealer with a yearly allocation of 264 & they are the number 1 dealer in our state. My internet person told me they have 90 orders in to be accepted. They told me 4-5 months but they said it’s usually more like 2-3. From this information would you say that’s correct on the 2-3 months?

Is there a way to tell using failcat or any other source or would I have to ask? If ask, just ask how many Tellurides were they allocated today in KFOS? And how many SX AWD are in their kdealer queue?
If it helps, here is one dealer I can order from:

Here is the one I placed deposit on and I am number 6 in line for SX AWD:

Click on "stats" at the top of the failcat page, and on the tellystats site, you can narrow it down by dealer, sorted for last 12 months. You can tell exactly how many of each model your dealer received.

Nice! Thanks! Looks like in the last 12 months one has had 28 SX AWD and one had 27. So basically the same….which I assume would mean roughly the same allocations each month. Only difference is I am number 6 in line and could be lower with other dealer. Sounds like I will stick with my original dealer.

We are contemplating ordering from a low volume dealer that is a ways away from our house, but only charges MSRP, and a high volume dealer nearby who charges more. They gave different estimates about ordering time. Can wait times after ordering really vary that much by dealer? We have heard anywhere from 2 months to 1 yearfrom the 8 dealerships in western Washington. how much impact does local dealer have on wait time?

Is it possible for you remarkable inside guys here to suggest a dealer with a large allocation/mth in the Northern Virginia/ Southern MD region?
I've spent weeks calling dealerships around here, and so far just one of them has recommended placing an order. Some had specifically said that Tellies are 'allocation only' - no factory orders.
This thread has been a revelation. Hopefully, someone who knows can recommend a straight dealership with a decent allocation rate.
Very much appreciated!

WFT is 'failcat'? Link anyone?
Try VA057 CMA Colonial KIA in Chester, Virginia www.colonialKia.com and ask for Billy D’Amato the Sales Manager or Chris is the General Sales Manager and they’ll be able to tell you your wait and an out the door price in the first few minutes of your phone call. I contacted them and ordered one on April 26th and was told there was a 12 to 16 wee waiting period but was told it’s usually sooner. I received a call last Monday to be told my Telluride SX Prestige will be here on June 23rd and will be a 2022 with no increase in price for my order, so in essence I ordered my car and will receive it in less than two months. Damn good service and people there too. Good luck with your hunt to purchase one. Oh and Rod Boothes is an excellent Sales Associate who doesn’t lie about F&I or Finance and Insurance or added on things like extra service contracts and the such.

Hey @StephenCantrelle - when in the process is it too late to change - let's say - the color of the Telluride on order? It seems to me that this should be possible as long as your order has not been picked up by KFOS.
I'm actually considering a color change. 😬🙄
Thx

My dealer dropped me back for changing interior color, luckily it was only one spot back at the time....I shudder to think how far I'd fall back now. Maybe play the "I saw pics of GG with the new nightfall logo, it's a NO-GO" card?

Hmph, I don't understand why changing the value of one field would push one back to the end and of the line...😳

I agree, I would ask the dealer what their policy is. I think mine might be tired of people changing little details, I'm sure he's got enough going on.

How long does a change take… 5min? And you’re buying a $50k vehicle that you may own for a decade or longer. In my opinion, they can make a few changes.

Was that Ferguson Kia? I just ordered from them, quoted 20 weeks.

Yes, exactly. I do normally keep my vehicles for 10+ years. It helps me justify the cost. 🙂
@Butch Cassidy Was it you that had changed your original GG/DB order to an ES/DB? Or, was it someone else on this forum? 🙄
I was lucky enough to see the GG/NF in person and loved it. However, I have not seen the ES. I like the contrast of the NF ES and its bluish shimmer. That's also a reason I liked the GG. It's bluish cast. Either way, I'm sticking with the DB interior.
Uh oh, it seems I've veered off topic. 😬

I actually went from Glacier White to Gravity Grey. Like you I’m going dune to the moon as well.
My dealer had no problem making that change. My wife likes the Gravity Gray, I wish it didn’t have the bluish cast tho.

I just ordered a S AWD from dealer PA102.
How are they doing on their allocations so far this year?

Much appreciated. I'll call them today. If you are up for texting your name to me at 7034077841 I'll tell 'em you referred me. Cheers!

Yes it was. I didn’t know to ask all this stuff prior to ordering. They said they have 90 orders submitted 🙄
Which trim did you get? I went with the S FWD but now I debating AWD. Not sure if it’s worth the $2k for the 1-2 weeks of bad weather.
