I’ll do the front as well and post a video of that.
My man!I’ll do the front as well and post a video of that.
So you guys can see the front emblem, wait no more here it is. Wonder why Kia didn’t do this from the factory. If this doesn’t hold up I’ll either gunkote or cerakote the emblems. Please let me know hat you guys think of the emblems. My man!
I guess anything is removable but I think that the emblems are held on with double sided tape. If you discover otherwise please let me know. I’ve looked for parts diagrams online for 2022 model but can’t find one. Parts diagram would shed some light as to how they are held on. Previous models appear to use double sided tape so I can only assume that these do as well. Let me know if you discover otherwise.isn't that part removable? so you can just remove, paint(plastidip) and then re-attach?
Well I do like those emblems. i think it would work well on the rear as I believe they are held on with double sided tape. The front grill is another story as the grill is sculpted around where the Kia emblem is so it wouldn’t technically fit as good as it should. It way still work but I don’t think it would fit as well as you would want it to look on a $50,000 carForgot to ask.... Anybody tried the black emblems that the forum sells on the 22?
Mines coming in July, and there has to be a solution to those nasty 'new Kia' emblems. Blacking them out is good. Wondering if these would look better??
Yes, good point on the front grille. The pre-22 grille didn't have that problem. I have a all blacked out nightfall edition. But all emblems are black except the one in front. What color plasti dip did you use? I'm going to do the exact sameSo you guys can see the front emblem, wait no more here it is. Wonder why Kia didn’t do this from the factory. So your rear emblem came blacked out from the factory?I have a all blacked out nightfall edition. But all emblems are black except the one in front. What color plasti dip did you use? I'm going to do the exact same
No, but that one was removed and very easily. I did the black plasti dip on the front. But I've done it twice and both times I let it dry and when I peel the tape no matter how well it's taped it pulls in small places and messes up.So your rear emblem came blacked out from the factory?
What product /finish did you use? Does it match the finish of the factory black emblems?I’ll do the front as well and post a video of that.
How did you remove the rear one? Are there any pins/clips/holes underneath the badge on the '22 or is it just taped/glued? Hoping I can remove it instead of blacking it out.No, but that one was removed and very easily. I did the black plasti dip on the front. No. I applied heat with a blow-dry for a few moments ans pulled it right off they are so thin and flexible. How did you remove the rear one? Are there any pins/clips/holes underneath the badge on the '22 or is it just taped/glued? Hoping I can remove it instead of blacking it out.
Thanks!
