  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Just secured an "allocation" with my local dealer. Not sure when the order will be put into the factory, but hoping to get my truck before the winter. Dealer wanted to steer me into something close to what I wanted but that would arrive sooner. Since I'm not really in a rush, I decided to order what I wanted. Right now what I want is an AWD S, White with the grey interior, tow package and crossbars.

Normally wouldn't get a light colored interior but I trust the synthetic leather seating will be easy enough to clean and appreciate that it will be slightly cooler in the summer than the black interior. I waffled between the LX and S but ultimately the heated seats pushed us toward the S. My wife also liked the captain's chairs (we only have 2 kids in boosters) and we will only use the 3rd row when driving kids' friends around for sports, etc.

It's a shame that there are so few a la carte options because a lot of the things the S comes don't appeal to me like the 20" wheels and the sunroof. There is a ton of value with the S trim so it's not a big deal but would be nice to get exactly what I want with a custom order.

As for the most controversial topic around, once I heard they were putting the new logo on 22s, the 21s were dead to me. I think the new logo is fine but the old one has always struck me as dumpy and associated with so many bad to mediocre cars over the years. I think it was time to leave it behind for something more modern. I don't disagree about a lot of the concerns about size/color/prominence front and rear, but from my perspective that all pales in comparison to the negative association I have with the 1990's oval logo.

I don't expect to be a prolific poster, but excited to learn more about the trucks and always find these brand/model enthusiast forums to be valuable.

Thanks. It's a net new vehicle for us! I had been looking at info on the Telly before deciding to purchase and placing an order and found this forum useful in that process over the past few weeks.
