• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Sorry if this has been asked I’m new to the forum and been searching. I see some people post this info in their signature blocks.

as I anxiously await the arrival of my Telluride like many others, I was wondering what people have been seeing for timeline from when their VIN populated to it being at the dealer?

for reference my VIN populated on 6/16/21 and I placed a deposit on a 22 SXP Nightfall & Tow, Ebony Black/Dune Brown. I received ETAs of “last week of July” 8/3/21 & now 8/11/21. Picking up 1 state over in Denver and looking to buy a plane ticket

My VIN populated on June 26, initial ETA is August 7 to Utah.

Too many variables to consider, the biggest is transportation. If it goes by rail on any segment, all bets are off. There is a trucking shortage that has been affecting deliveries as of late. The advise that I have given people in the past is more appropriate now - Do not book any travel until it has arrived at the dealership and has been inspected. There could be shipping damage that needs to be taken care of. Maybe a sensor needs replacing. And airlines aren't as flexible on changes as they were a few months ago. On my two, one came in a couple of days early and one, a couple of days late. You just never know.

There are indeed way too many variables....it looks like about 4-8 weeks after VIN appears, but it can certainly vary quite a bit. As @ksyrah said, trucking shortage is another factor slowing things down.

I ordered one, it was about 5 weeks after vin creation to delivery in ND. The eta never changed and it showed up that day.
While I was waiting, I found an incoming factory allocation at a dealer in MN that was a model year newer. Ended up buying that one. Eta was originally mid Aug but had slipped to Oct 1st. It showed up about two weeks early.

So, pretty much all over the board.

Thank you for sharing!

I stopped checking for VIN creation. Ours was ordered March 29, arrived at dealership June 30. NB - our dealership was in ATL, 60 miles from the factory in LaGrange, GA.
