I just picked up my Telly from i25 and they told me that they send me the documents directly and did not need a DMV address to send docs. Am I missing something? Do I need to reach back out to them? I paid in full so no financing and they said they would mail me title.

I would after 2 weeks check with i25 about when if they sent the title paperwork and then schedule to go to DMV within the 20 days. With title and smog check, you should be able to register with one visit. Without title, submit the application and get a temporary registration and will require a second visit to complete the process.

I ordered in May and received mine, to my door, July 22nd. That includes a wait because 2021 ordering was stopped and I had to wait for a 2022. Not bad at all!

Folsom Kia - $5k (appears to be quickest turnaround when ordering, about 6-8 weeks)
Roseville Kia - $7.5k (had 3 on the lot yesterday, 2 S and one EX)
Vacaville Kia - $12k (won't let you test drive unless you are signing papers, lol)

Hilltop is charging a markup now. Their SX wait times were getting super long (potentially ~1 year when I asked) so it is somewhat predictable this low volume dealer would move to a markup. I'm still awestruck 5 of the top 10 volume dealers in the country are Southern California dealers charging markups without any real blowback.

My info is a few months out of date now, but dealers with markups now:

I just got mine from Roseville - the 2 sales guys I worked with I wouldn't classify as obnoxious. 1 was rather passive (and somehow during my wait he got promoted to asst. sales manager).. but the other one, the one we worked with on the day of pick up was actually pretty cool. One of the first salesmen I have worked with that actually knew most of the features of the car. I've talked to some where I knew more about it than they did.. I can confirm they are tacking on the $7500 and won't budge. I actually thought they were fairly easy to work with. I would have preferred actually to go to Folsom since they are just down the street - but they didn't have any in stock and their internet guy wasn't all that helpful. Roseville had one on order that was basically the spec I wanted and I got lucky that nobody had claimed it yet.

7500 on top of MSRP, plus a few other items that were non-negotiable. (Lojack, scratch/dent coverage)

$7500 over MSRP, labeled as a market adjustment. You get nothing extra other than the satisfaction that they can run more commercials on your favorite local TV stations.

I went with Jim Bone Kia in Santa Rosa. $2500 markup. Ask for Dan. I chose driving to Santa Rosa over getting a telluride unseen shipped from i25 and dealing with the DMV.

Were you charged anything other than $2,500? Such as dealer handling fees, mandatory add-ons (front window tinting, clear coating, Stargard tracking, etc.)? I've contacted my share of dealers and when you go into the details, there were so many mandatory extras it was ridiculous. Thanks.

It’s 2,500 for LX and S trims. He said they typically ask 8K over on EX and SX. : (
