Loud whining noise coming from dash

I have a 2020 Kia Telluride. All of a sudden today it started making a loud piercing electronic whining noise from the dash. It really hurts your ears. Maybe at around 2-5khz if I had to guess. It’s about 70db loud.


It remains even when the car is off and when I’ve disconnected the negative cable from the battery.

Does anyone know what this is? I can’t figure out what to do to stop it while I wait to get it serviced on Monday morning.

I finally figured it out!! It was my Ez Pass. Nothing to do with the car. I guess the battery is dead. I’ll spare you the sound clip. It is piercing!
