Deliver taking 40 days

Have a 2022 Nightfall edition with captain chairs coming. I ordered it Memorial Day weekend. Problem is..my dealer has 1 ( think it is mine) that I showed up on FC Aug 25th. He keeps saying it is close to being delivered. Why so long? Is he jerking me around?

My understanding is it takes an average of about a month to get delivery from when you see it in failcat. Remember, the plant was closed for an entire week during September due to semiconductor chip shortage so the "about a month" may be a bit longer as your vehicle would have been caught up in that timeframe.

Depends on how it is being shipped. If it is going by rail for part of the process, there have been hold ups once it hits the freight yard due to the trucking shortage.

Why don't you just ask the dealer for the ETA screenshot? It will show you VIN number and the ETA for delivery to the dealer.
