• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi All,

I have a Telluride SX with the factory running boards.

I need to lift the driver's side up to do maintenance on the wheels.
According to the manual, to lift the front wheel, you are supposed to place the jack at the pinch point by the front door.
Unfortunately, the front pinch point is blocked by the mounting bracket for the running board.

I've looked up "jack pads" and none of them that I've found are tall enough to clear the distance between the pinch point and the bottom of the running board bracket.

Has anyone with factory running boards found a way around this?
How am I supposed to lift the front wheel with the front pinch point blocked?

Thank you.

Just made another post about the same issue then ran into this. Has anyone figured out a safe way to jack the car or place stands?
