“ETA”… from Dealer or Kia?

Who makes the estimate?

I ordered 10/01 and was told by the dealer (Muncie Kia) that it was picked up about two weeks later… but the dealer said they “couldn’t provide an ETA”.

It’s been roughly a month since my order was picked up. Should I expect an ETA from the dealer at this point — or is the target date of delivery determined by Kia, who (presumably) communicates it to the dealer?

Also… is the initial ETA determined only after a VIN has been created?

KIA lets the dealer know. Initial ETA is provided before the VIN is created. Lucas is good at providing info as soon as he gets it.

No, normally within a couple of days of KFOS closing. But, they can only tell you what corporate tells them. Muncie is not a sketchy dealer - I'm buying a third Telly from them......
