I took notes during my first 3 months with a 2022 SX Prestige Nightfall with Tow.
Overall this car is super duper superb. 98/100. Extremely pleased. These were the quirks I noticed.
Only #5 and #10 are more than a nitpick.
Let me know if I’m wrong about any!
Overall this car is super duper superb. 98/100. Extremely pleased. These were the quirks I noticed.
- Cannot silence the beep when exiting running car
- Bumper proximity beeps lack a “you are super close! stop now!” tone. It’s the same tone from ~24” to 0”
- Driver profiles don’t save LED colors, HUD preferences, and more
- Unbuckled seat belt chime
- Driver seat can’t tilt forward or backward. This one is actually annoying. The seat only goes up and down, there’s no tilt axis. I’m 6’1” so basically I can’t tilt the seat bottom backward enough to get leg support, ever, period.
- Mood LEDs not bright enough
- Can’t silence blinkers
- Can’t have active assist on without beeps
- Head/fog lights don’t illuminate sides at all, as in left/right at a stop sign
- Gas tank capacity. 350 mile range is rather annoying, and we don’t even commute
- Busy HUD. When auto-steer and auto cruise control and HDA is on, the HUD is insane. It’s like 13 icons.
- Can’t lock car while running
- Remote start shuts off too easily
- Remote start requires pressing lock first
- Door and window child lock isn’t separate. So if you lock windows from rolling down, door child lock is on. Weird.
- Mirrors don’t tilt down when in Reverse
- (ADDED) When lane-keeping is active, and it decides the turn is too sharp to handle itself, it just… gives up and stops steering, with no beep or indication afaict.
- Running car must be in Park to open liftgate
Only #5 and #10 are more than a nitpick.
