Good Dealer Dealings - List Your Good Dealer Experience

I25 Kia in (Longmont) Denver. Ask for Dimitru--he's very honest, works hard and is excellent at what he does. Call his cell phone at 303-502-9944 or send him a text. They will have a new name in the future and will be called FOWLER, but it will be the same people and same processes. I ordered a Telluride SX Prestige at the end of June in 2022 and picked it up last Wed (Nov 17th). I live in San Diego and flew up and drove it home. The autopilot cruise control is great for these long trips and it's an amazing vehicle. The whole experience was painless and I'd buy from them/Dimitru again in a heartbeat.
Glad to hear this. I live in Escondido and just emailed my order to Fowler KIA (i25). How long did it take you to drive home and do they provide any transportation from DEN airport?

Which dealership did you go with and how much was shipping?
It’s a little above this post. Mankato probably won’t do another out of state sale unless you are very close to the MN border. They for sure don’t ship. The ones in the Twin Cities are probably the better bet or Kia or Muncie.

Can't say enough good things about Lancaster Kia in PA. Ordered at MSRP with an additional $1600 ECP package. Was quoted 3-5 months and arrived in a little less than 4 months. Communication was great throughout, and the process was incredibly smooth. Would recommend Travis and the entire team at Lancaster Kia.

After reading some of the most recent posts about customers that were lucky to get a KIA at MSRP, I began calling places around NYC, Upstate NY, I25 and NJ.

NYC- AVOID IT!!!! Don't even try.

NJ - Nutley Auto Kia is honoring MSRP but they want you to buy 3 accessories and then the wait game begins. $500 deposit but its refundable. DOC fee $399, NJ taxes 6.625. You will then have to pay to ship it your state or buy a one way ticket and road trip back. Estimate wait time 4-6 months. depends on where you land on the list and how fast they get it.

Colorado - I25 (Fowler KIA of Longmont) Is honoring MSRP price with a $500 deposit that its refundable and Doc fee $399. You will then have to pay to ship it your state or buy a one way ticket and road trip back. Estimate wait time 7-9 months. depends on where you land on the list and how fast they get it.

Upstate NY - Kia of East Syracuse honoring MSRP price with a $1000 deposit that its NOT refundable and Doc fee $175. Estimate wait time 5-7 months. depends on where you land on the list and how fast they get it. Speak to Pat Conor. he's a good sales men he will tell you everything you will pay for upfront and not change it.

I have been looking at a couple different models both Kia's, but the Texas dealers are just being greedy
So far here is the dealers and the markups

Kia of Round Rock, TX - 10k over msrp for a Sorento and 12k over MSRP
KIa of South Austin, TX - 10k over msrp for a Sorento and 12k over MSRP
Kia of North Austin, TX - 10k over msrp for a Sorento and 12k over MSRP
World Car Kia North, TX - 4,995.00 over MSRP

If you know of a dealer in Texas give a shout... btw since the 2023 are coming out in Summer time, would it be better to wait ? I haven't seen any solid news about updates ect.. TY

Update: The Kia dealer in Waco, TX had 2 Telluride's and both sold before I could jump on them, they are marking up about 2k over MSRP saying it for rust and some other stuff, they have 2 or 3 other colors coming in so if your looking... I think I might be back on the hunt for a Sorento SX x-line in white.

Update the Fort Bend, TX dealer will order at MSRP to people that are in the great Houston area.. GL the search continues !!

I'm in Austin and got the same from the local dealers. I can't believe people are willing to pay that much over sticker, but apparently they are around here.
I ordered mine from Moritz Kia in Hurst. They will sell at MSRP + $845 in dealer add ons. They'll sell to you if you live in Texas.
My sales person was Kirk Potter, and he's been great so far.

I have a dealer outside of Houston says they can order one for me at MSRP, but it may be a long time before I get it, unless they happen to get one from Kia and I would get that instead.

What's an ECP package?

I tried calling your guy, but only got the VM and I left my info but no call back so might try another sales person

Picked up locally from Phil Long Kia in Colorado Springs on Friday and everything went smooth.

Test drove a used Telluride in August that was marked up and Dan said if I was willing to wait, cost would be MSRP + $995 for their dealer package (pulsing light, all weather floor mats, door guards). Placed an order in August and Dan kept me apprised of the status- which was great because mine never hit FC. Got a call Friday morning that it was coming off the truck and he verified I didn’t want it washed- I told him I just didn’t want it going through an automatic wash so they did it by hand. We picked it up Friday night and it looked great- dealer plate frames but no additional dealer stickers or branding.

They gave me a decent value on my trade and there weren’t any surprises price wise. Dan was great and the finance guy didn’t push/sell a single thing. I asked for clarification on one warranty item, he answered, I declined and we moved on.

Very smooth and pain free experience - would recommend. I’ve included Dan’s information below:

Just curious how long your wait was with them on your order?

One of their saleswomen followed up with me a few weeks ago trying to sell me one coming in soon with a huge mark up. She got a bit nasty when I declined stating I had one on order with another dealer up the road in Denver for MSRP, she laughed at me when I said I was told 4-5 months wait and told me it would be “23 months” at any dealer to order a telluride. I confirmed she said 23 months, she agreed. I laughed and hung up.

Yeah I think any of their internet sales folks can do it. Also try emailing, that's how I got the fastest response.

Ordered 8/27 and got it 12/17- at the time they quoted 4-8 months. They tried calling me in November for an EX that an owner didn’t want but they were selling it for $58K. I laughed and said no thanks. Everything was smooth when mine arrived- no surprises price wise.

Did they tell you approximately when Kia would pick it up?
I just texted back and for with the Kia dealership in Muncie and they told me that they were ordering at MSRP but were no longer participating in the Costco program "due to the demand of the Tellurides".

If anyone else is in the NE Ohio area, Halleen Kia is ordering Tellurides at MSRP and only charging <$500 for documentation/dealer prep/registration fees. 75% chance we will be taking advantage of that deal.

Kia of Mankato (MN) was a good buying experience for me. Didn’t try to upsell me on anything and worked with me quite a bit on the whole buying / reserving process. They did add a weather package, but it was useful stuff and not upselled nonsense like my local dealer. If you are out of state, they most likely won’t do a sale unless you live close enough to them, however.

Avoid Billion Kia like the plague in Sioux Falls. Among whatever else, mandatory 3k in dealer add-ons that are no value add. I have zero idea how they have that high of a rating.
Disregard the follow up I made. Not sure if I can delete posts. Dealership called later and made sure things got corrected.
