• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Retrofit EX with SX LED headlights

Waiting on the car, delivery in mid December lol though I'm 90% sure it will solve the issue. The LED drivers on the headlights were lighting down to around 10v, so it's not on that end. It's most likely a bulb test from the BCM, which these modules are commonly used to resolve on a lot of different models from different manufacturers.
Sounds like this is not your first rodeo 😁
Hopefully they everything works out and you can have a DIY completed soon. Will definitely help anyone else that would yo complete this upgrade🥳
Too bad Machtig no longer comes on here or sells these. He did provide a lot of great information for this community.

Appreciate all the help on this. I waited so long for someone else to figure this out I have no problem waiting a little longer.....lmao :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:Let me know when it is available and I will purchase one of these diy kits from you!!!!!!

I have a used SX led headlamp enroute. Once I have it I can figure out the SX headlamp interior wiring and make the plug and play connectors. My only concern is whether or not the SX headlamp will trigger a lamp fault warning on the EX. I don’t think it will based on numerous folks swapping their incandescent bulbs for LEDs in the EX headlamp. But we’ll see. I think the SX headlamps turn signals are incorporated into the amber light ring so that may also be an issue. We’ll find out soon enough.
I wouldn't do that if I were you.

Just got confirmation that the connectors have arrived at my local post office; I expect delivery tomorrow. That said I just realized I only ordered enough to build two sets of plug-and-play harnesses. But that is ok, as myself and another forum member are the only ones that have ordered in a pair of LED headlamps and I'd like to get mine (and his) installed and test them over a couple weeks to ensure there are no issues. By the time a new order of connectors arrives I'll be ready to build as many sets as necessary. (y)
Don't do it you will be sorry

Here’s one of the harnesses. Also I’m ordering a metal cutting bandsaw (For the aluminum mounts) and a few other specialty tools to make this a top shelf kit. I want it to look like it almost came from the factory this way. View attachment 11258
Really a bad idea hacking up wires in a brand new vehicle. Just toasted your warranty

If he is making this like the previous person, there is not hacking of any wires. It is simply a plug and play adapter. I have it on my S and have not altered any of the wiring in the car, not hyperflash, nothing. Just the amber turns and led headlamps

You’re responding to posts that are over a year old.
Not to mention the guy ALREADY did it and it came out great. Lmao

Same - alternatively, if anyone who's sourced all the parts, figured out the pinout, and successfully built the harness could share some direct links to what's needed, it would be a huge help to the DIYers capable of making one.

edit: Think I found the connectors on Ali. These are pre-crimped, but searching for part # brings up the DIY version. I have these on order, slow boat from China so delivery next month.

For the flickering, I am going to test these instead of the other voltage regulator from past posts: Pulse Width Modulation Harnesses HID/LED | Xenon Depot XD.H010

Looking at the pinouts that Jma9 posted, a relay might be needed to activate the high beam LED. I don't feel comfortable driving the LED high beam off the high beam solenoid pin.

I'll update if I'm able to get this working, with part numbers and instructions.
Did the pulse harness work for you instead of voltage regulators?

Bump!

Still waiting on my telluride to be made. Once I get it I will be making a harness. I have the lights and all of the necessary parts.

10-4 Let me know. I have lights already. I will purchase the harness from you :)

FWIW, I ended up getting a 35W 5500k HID retrofit kit. Looks 1000x better than the halogens, and noticeable improvement in light output. I've tried retrofit LED bulbs in previous cars with halogen projectors without success - the light was uneven and lousy. I'm very happy with these HIDs though. Make sure the return filament on the bulb faces down (6 o'clock position), and the light output is near OEM quality - no weird hot or dark spots, and no problems with glare.
