If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

We ordered ours on 5/18. SX AWD with Black Copper, Black Interior, and no Prestige. Tow package, interior lights, & back mat. They told me 6-8 weeks. I will keep you posted. This a dealership in Franklin TN.

After only 4 1/2 weeks our SX came in today. Picking up tonight. I will post pictures this weekend. We are excited. Thanks everyone for all the great info.

Latest update.

Latest update. Sent emails to upper management at the dealership, posted google review, submitted compliant at Kia consumer affairs.

Yesterday I received a nice apologetic email from the GM and confirmed the dealership will be honoring our original deal.

Today, got the call she is at the dealership. Will be picking her up on Sunday!
Good for you!! They can't get away with bait and switch. Same thing as when you order a car based on date of order incentives and MSRP only to find those incentives gone on date of delivery. This is nothing short of beach of contact whether there is a written agreement or not. Kia attached incentives to reduce MSRPS in order to incentivize people to buy/lease their cars. If Kia incorrectly judges demand resultant from their incentive decisions that error should not be passed on to the customer. All incentives and MSRPs at time of order should be honored at time of delivery.

While I agree with your idea, they will continue to change the incentives and will in no way honor in July what expired in May or June.

@Daparest, Your contract is with the dealer only, not manufacturer.

Incentives are entirely separate from the purchase of the vehicle, offered by Kia only, and like a normal coupon have an expiration date. The expiration date is fully and clearly disclosed, such as this one:

  • Customers may receive $1,000 on the purchase of a new, eligible 2020 Telluride from Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) between 5/1/2019 - 7/1/2019 if they qualify for the Competitive Bonus Program. Contact your local Kia dealer for a listing of eligible qualifying competitive vehicles and complete details. Qualifying customers are only eligible for a total of two (2) occurrences of Specialty Incentives during a calendar year and the vehicle utilized as the qualifying vehicle may not be the same vehicle in both instances. Offer may be combined with Low APR or Cash offers. Offer not compatible with lease offers.
To be eligible, customer must show proof of qualifying competitive vehicle ownership (current registration) to Kia dealer where new, eligible Kia vehicle is being purchased. Void where prohibited by law. This incentive is a limited time offer on eligible Kia vehicles. Not all incentive programs are compatible. Additional terms and conditions apply. See your participating dealer for more details. All matters of program eligibility and qualification will be resolved by Kia Motors America, Inc. (KMA) in its sole discretion, and KMA reserves the right to change product and program specifications at any time without incurring any obligations.Offer valid from 5/1/2019 - 7/1/2019. Click here for a list of qualifying competitive vehicles.

As the consumer, you have the final choice at the time of purchase on whether to purchase or not. Therefore no "damage" from changing incentives can possibly be passed onto the purchaser without said purchaser agreeing to the changes.

Lastly, why would the dealer ever want to agree to accept an expired coupon issued by another business entity? To do so is either insane or an exceptionally poor business practice. Do you realize that if a dealer ever gives out an incentive to a purchaser who was not entitled to the incentive, that the dealer must reimburse KIA for the amount of the incentive? To give you the incentive, the dealer must be able to prove you were entitled to receive it.

I have many close relationships with various dealerships. They are audited at least bi-annually by the manufacturer and/or the captive finance corporation. For example, in March I was on site visiting with the GM for a CJD dealership just as their audit was being finished. The dealership had to pay back $212,500 for incentives they gave to customers but were unable to prove the customers were entitled to.

Hopefully this information will be of value. In my eyes, it is always good to possess insight beyond our own understandings.

On another note in line with the thread title, our SXP which was ordered 2/22/19 had an estimated delivery date for today. According to Kia's inventory records, it has been on my dealers lot since Monday. My dealer and I are 100% confident it has not arrived yet. Kia doesn't have this whole shipping and tracking thing down well at all...

Ordered my Black on Black sxp with towing on 3/20 picked it up today 6/22 totally worth the wait. Sooooo cool, omg best vehicle I ever owned. Thank you Gurley Leep Kia Mishawaka Indiana Kim in sales Brad, GM..... they held true to their trade and price.

I got mine off easy. Taped off the area tight against the emblem. Got my heat gun and started at the lowest setting and started swirling around the emblem. I gradually increased the heat on the gun. I then used plastic pry tools that I own and slid it under the emblem. Once things started to pry up, I moved to other areas. There was some tape left on the Telluride by I used goo gone and it cleaned right up. Total time about 10 minutes including taping.

Thank you for the quick response....I probably need to use more heat.

Hi everyone! This is my first post. I just got the call today my black copper on black SX prestige is built! No ETA on delivery but hoping a couple weeks max (to get from Georgia to Idaho?). I ordered on 4/03 and the wait has been killing me lol! I still haven’t seen a black copper in person so I hope I like it. Does anyone have any insight on their black copper telluride? Thanks!

Hi Everyone..Just found this forum. I ordered a Telluride few days back and the order form contains a $1500 rebate if I finance the vehicle by Kia Finance which I will. But I see the expiry date for the offer is 7/1. Can any of you please confirm if the offer would remain good if I order by that date or I have to take delivery by that date? Delivery is 2 months out.

I'm in the same boat as you except that I'm leasing the cat i ordered on 4 April. Yes, we do have to worry about whether the incentives will continue after 1 July and if they do, what will they be.

The incentives are coming from Kia Finance, not from Kia itself. My take on this is that the Finance incentives are in effect reflective of low interest rates. I believe that the reason that the incentives are being offered is that interest rates have stayed low and instead of offering low rates for purchasing or leasing, Kia Finance is offering incentives. While i won't bet my house, i think there's a good chance that the Finance incentives will continue, especially in light of very high interest in the Palisade, even with the Palisade not having any incentives. We'll know what's what on 2 July.

So does the rebate needs re-evaluation on delivery date or the rebate stats effective as long as the order was made before the rebate expiry?

Unfortunately, the rebate comes when you actually purchase the car. An order is not a binding contract so no rebate on ordering.
