If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi all,
All the Tellurides in a 50 mile radius are "arriving soon." Any idea what the procedure is for setting up a test drive before I decide to place an order? I'd rather not look like a sucker before I eventually reach out to sales managers to hopefully avoid paying over MSRP.

I suggest you try to find a used one on a lot nearby, as most Tellurides are sold before they hit the lot. You might have better luck at dealerships with high markups because they might have a few unsold cars on the lot.

Many dealers aren't allowing test drives since most cars they get in are already sold, and/or to keep miles low on a car they will inevitably sell shortly. The ones that do are only allowing very limited test drives for the same reasons. Maybe try to rent one for a day on Turo so you can really get a feel for it.

How bout posting a request in this forum asking if there's someone in your area willing to let u test drive their vehicle? Offer to buy them a drink, dinner, gift card and a handshake. Who knows, ya might make a new friend.

Enjoy the ride test ride.

We test drove an LX fwd iirc and ordered an awd SX. Ride comfort and experience was unnoticeable for us due to the similarity in the trims outside of their tech and comfort options. Not to mention we only took like a 2mi test ride so not much of an experience to remember.

Call around and locate a dealer with one in stock for test drives. Higher volume dealer should have one. They drive great you won't be disappointed in the end. GL

I ordered form a high volume dealer in the St Louis area in September. Mine, along with 16 others shows in stock yet in reality is on a truck on the way. The ones on the lot you can't even sit in as all have been ordered. When looking i did find one at another dealer back in September that i took for a short drive and when i got back somebody was buying it so no more driving. So at least in my area you can't find one to drive

Your best shoot as said above is to find a used one, yet they go fast also.

Happy hunting.

Both dealers I visited had a demo unit that was not for sale.
