• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Raised rails will be more practical than flush rail for sure

I echo that. And brighter reverse lights lower to the ground (in the bumper) make more sense for the backup camera functionality.

Famous Running Lights? Are those the square Halloween Orange lights? Regardless, those Halloween Orange lights are probably the only detraction for me when it comes to the Telluride. Yes, you can see them coming a mile away. So you can get your Trick Or Treat Bag ready.

Yes, just my opinion. If you love those Halloween Orange lights, then good for you.
Maybe they added it to the lower trims so they can make some people feel like they are getting an LED upgrade but also use up inventory on the orange before they start making the 2023s?

I think orange is a color that helps cars get noticed more. If you have orange turn signals in the back (Telluride does not) it may be more distinguishable from the red brake lights. On the front as dual purpose DRLs and turn signals they might pass during the day as turn signals to get noticed when turning or maybe so people can see you coming. But with orange at night for driver visibility in fog I have never see an advantage to the driver because I think our eyes interpret the cooler white light at night better than amber or orange. So I think the orange DRLs detract from the headlight performance at night, but that could be made up for by higher intensity LEDs, but then you create glare. This is why I prefer the white DRLs with separate orange turn below so they help during the day but also at night.

Maybe Kia was trying to bring back the super fly caddy style?

I was greatly disappointed with the backup lights. Backup camera is great but I need to see what is on the sides of the vehicle viewed through the side view mirrors. Installed a hitch rear step and added two 60W LED POD Spot Flood lights under the step pointed sideways. Ordered both from Amazon.
Excellent solution if you don't mind the rear step. Lights plug into the 7 Way hitch plug. Easy wiring.

Can you post a couple of early evening pictures of your setup, from the back and from the sides? I'd like to see how this looks on your vehicle, as it sounds like an attractive setup.

While I cannot say my solution was attractive it was the best I could do with what I had. I already had the lights, wiring and plug for a previous idea which did not work out. Then a friend suggested an available step with built in lights. The problem was the step lights would only add to the current backup lights and not the rear sides of the vehicle. It was then I looked for a hitch step I could use which I found on Amazon. The lights are 60W LED Pod lights also found on Amazon. I did have an additional hole drilled into the step hitch to keep it closer to the rear bumper.

Guys, maybe take this to another thread or private messages? This has nothing to do with the 2023 Telluride.
