Order to delivery time

the reason why you had to go with FWD is that just happens to be an unclaimed allocation that they have from the factory, you can definitely wait it out for the AWD and if your dealership wont put the order in, there are plenty who will.
They are ordering at MSRP which seems to be rare these days so I will live with the FWD. Just curious about the factory specifying it had to be FWD. Thanks for the response!

I’m a few months out on orders from two dealers at MSRP for the car I want. FWD is a big deal if you want AWD. But if you are happy with FWD it sounds like a good deal.

This is disappointing, I ordered a SX from Hendrick Kia in Cary on 11/5/2021. Was told it would take 20-24 weeks. Have only heard crickets since and nothing exists in failcat with my order spec. I’m bummed since it’s looking like we won’t have it for some planned vacations. Please post an update whenever you hear something, as you ordered 1.5 months before me. Best of luck!
Looks like you're 2 months before me. So now I'm concerned as well.

Not really rare. Plenty of dealers selling at MSRP. Just look in the Good Dealer thread.

I want my post to give others a better idea of the wait time currently for Hendrick Kia. This Friday marks 20 weeks, who knows how long it might take. At this point I’m hoping to get a 2023. Hopefully you have better luck!

Yea you'll be lucky if you get a vin by December. Then add another 6wks for delivery.............been waiting 7months now with no vin. 2023 model should be launching end of May. If I don't get delivery by the time new one launches, I'll be expecting a 2023.
Word on the street is 2023s will be pushed back until late 2022

You're lucky to get it so fast at MSRP. Since allocations are based on trim and AWD/FWD configurations matter in the allocation, it's likely your dealer has pre-sold all the AWD allocations across all trim levels for months to come. This is very common. That's why folks who order SX AWD wait for 6-8 months, while someone ordering an S FWD may wait 2-3 months.

Most important part, you get it at MSRP and have instant equity. If you really want AWD for the long term, order now and sell your S when the new one comes in.

Hey there - I ordered Mid Jan '22. Just got my VIN today. ETA of EX N/T/P AWD Wolf Gray is 4/22. I'm in California, so that is my guess for the longer delivery date.

Dude! That is my configuration except color. I ordered in Nov 21 and still have not been picked up by KFOS. I got get off this forum, it's gonna drive me crazy 🤪

You make a lot of sense thank you for response.

After looking at these other posts, all I can say is I'm sorry. Because now reading everyone's delayed ETA's, I feel so lucky. I guess my sales guy was right saying, I don't know how you got this one. I haven't gotten it yet, so I am not going to get too excited!!

Where does this word come from? Who's the source?
A few members on this forum were told this by their dealers, also a few reddit posters saying the same. Not confirmed but definitely possible with the backlog of 2022s. Normally they just convert you to a 2023 when they start producing them, but if the interior dash area is changing toward what the new sportage has then I can definitely see them selling all the 2022s they can before converting to 2023, to use the parts already made for the dash area of 2022s.

Hey there. I ordered from Huffines Corinth around Nov first week and waiting. :)

Do you know anyone else who has their orders in Sep/Oct here?

Being new to this whole thing. I see this KFOS thing. Can someone let me know what that is, or the link to it?

TY

It’s the factory ordering system that was setup by Kia a few years back. Orders first go into one system which is a queue, then each month kia tells the dealer what amount of cars and what trims they are accepting, whatever matches from the queue is moved into KFOS as a picked up order.

Use the search function- there are several threads about it that go into detail

I am not sure. I created a Waitlist for Corinth thread if you want to look over there. They told me earlier this week there were over 130 in front of me.

Ugh, I guess I’ll get one of the last 2022’s then. The speculation I read was the 2023 was going to get the digital dash (which I love) and come out around June.

Am I the only one who prefers mechanical speedometer and tach?
