• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Retrofit EX with SX LED headlights

I don’t have my Telly yet but I know a guy that can most likely build this harness. I will reach out to him and see what he thinks and report back for everybody
i definitely want one

If anyone is making a harness i definitely definitely interested in buying one i wish the light just came orange in all classes. When you look online that's all you see is the orange so It's unclear for the people who think their getting what they see everywhere online

did this turn the square yellow on your car if so let me know and i buy one i dont know if it will affect the Led square or not

New bulbs will not turn the halo orange. Only the premium/SX headlight assembly will, which will require the harness previously mention in the earlier parts of the thread.

Getting close. Testing in progress. View attachment 10503
Can you tell me the details of this connector? Where did you get the 10 pin Male end? What did you figure out about which wires belonged where? Do you still have your completed notes?

I will have a used set when my new Telly comes in. Obviously it'll be a bit, but I will have a set

I was researching tonight and found that the 10 pin and 14 pin are common for other Kia and Hyundai cars and that you can buy them on eBay for $25 a piece. Now I just need to review the wiring diagram

@berryboy808 I will have the original assembly and headlights from my S in another month or so. I purchased from the originator of the harness and will be getting a SXP end of April and will not need the harness or headlights... All in perfect working order

FWIW, I ended up getting a 35W 5500k HID retrofit kit. Looks 1000x better than the halogens, and noticeable improvement in light output. I've tried retrofit LED bulbs in previous cars with halogen projectors without success - the light was uneven and lousy. I'm very happy with these HIDs though. Make sure the return filament on the bulb faces down (6 o'clock position), and the light output is near OEM quality - no weird hot or dark spots, and no problems with glare.

masterofdisaster, do you feel the factory headlight housings / projectors will be able to handle the additional heat that HID's create?

I would love to do this, this is probably the best idea for improving output without the uneven, lousy light quality from an LED. I have tried lasfit LED and currently Halogen Sylvania Silverstar's top of the line bulb, ZXE.....which is an improvement, but still leaves much light to be desired.

I would totally go the HID route but would be terrified to melt the OEM housings.

I got the connectors on AliExpress. They come directly from China so it takes a bit of time but are WAY cheaper than $25 a piece. I think I paid .50 a piece for them. I will post the part numbers when I have time to look. My telluride is finally going to be here in about 2-3 weeks. After I get it I will make the harnesses. I currently have everything I need to do the halogen to LED headlight swap.

Update. Finally Got my Telly yesterday (9 month wait) Will work on harnesses soon.
