Order to delivery time

Am I the only one who prefers mechanical speedometer and tach?
Nope. I saw the image of the digital speedo in the other thread. I am in favor of the analog speedo and tach. Just call me old school. Lol

I am not sure. I created a Waitlist for Corinth thread if you want to look over there. They told me earlier this week there were over 130 in front of me.
I'm interested in your wait list. Do you mind sharing

Sorry, I don't have a wait list. I created the thread named "Current Waitlisters for Huffines Kia (Corinth,Tx)". I would love to see their actual wait list though.

This is disappointing, I ordered a SX from Hendrick Kia in Cary on 11/5/2021. Was told it would take 20-24 weeks. Have only heard crickets since and nothing exists in failcat with my order spec. I’m bummed since it’s looking like we won’t have it for some planned vacations. Please post an update whenever you hear something, as you ordered 1.5 months before me. Best of luck!
So now we are being told that it may be another month and that the vin belongs to another buyer and vehicle was picked up this week. We were also told they were working on September last month but then earlier this month that they were just finishing August and now that they are in the 2nd week of September. It’s all kind of all over. None of the information matches and it’s pretty frustrating.

Nope. Dealer won’t know until it gets picked up. There’s no tracking method until it gets shipped to the dealer. They are in the dark until it gets picked up and an ETA is given.

It’s based on how many total allocations your dealer gets of each trim and drivetrain. Seems to be SX models are taking longer than others.

Several folks with orders from around the country did report their Sep/Oct orders were picked up this month so you may be close but again all dependent on the volume of your dealership and how many of each trim they get.
So does dealer know it was picked before failcat shows vin or is failcat first?

Appreciate the update! The information they gave you is about as clear as mud. Looks like I’ve got at least 2 more months until my order is picked up.

I ordered a black on black SX fwd from Kia south - Memphis on February 28th.

What are normal wait times here? What is kfos? And how can I tell if it’s been “picked up”?

5-9 months imo. KFOS = Kia Factory Ordering System. Your dealer should let you know, and then your VIN will appear on failcat.

Hi there, last week I was able to get my ETA for EX AWD NTP is 4/22. I see that it was on failcat on 3/2. Any particular reason for the 7 week process from one date to another? Does it have something to do with taking delivery in California?

Ordered SX just 2 weeks ago from the GM at Steven Kia in Harrisonburg, VA and dealership is saying built date is in April and tentative delivery date is May. Likely going to change, but that's much faster than I've read so fingers crossed.

When did you place your order with your dealer? I am curious because that is the same trim and packages I ordered.

Placed my order mid Jan, got vin 2 weeks ago, and ETA on 4/22

Wow, if you ordered in Nov, I think you need to go to another dealer. That seems way too long to wait. Did you put a deposit down? No VIN yet? What are they telling you? Maybe at this point, put yourself on the top of the list for the '23.

Not sure what to think honestly. No answers. You can see my story in the "Waitlisters for Huffines Corinth" thread. From the Failcat #s I ran, it looks like the dealer places priority on SX AWD orders. There have been 204 SX AWD VINs created for them since Jan 2021. The next closest is 41 VINs for EX AWD. That is almost 5 SX AWD for every 1 EX AWD.

Did you pay over msrp? That's probably why it's faster. If you wait for an msrp dealer you have a minimum of a 4 month wait depending on the dealer queue.

Yep, it's an MSRP dealer. They had no dealer add-ons. I was going to go with Moritz Ft Worth since they are #1 in TX volume, but they req'd $995 for some add-ons kast Nov. When I called them last week, they are now req'ing $1898 on top of MSRP for nitrogen in the tires and ceramic tint and a paint warranty or something.

That's great if they're giving you an accurate timeline.
A quick look on failcat shows that they are allotted about 4-6 tellurides a month. So If you ask them your place in line (kdealer) you could get a more accurate timeline for yourself. Kdealer is what your order is in while you wait to be "picked up" by kfos. For every 5 spots in line add a month. Then add 6-8 weeks from kfos pick up.
So for example if your 10th in line I would estimate probably a mid to late july delivery.

Thanks for the info. That is good to know, because if that is the case, I will be getting my Telly somewhere between now and never... closer to never. Just over a week ago the dealer said there just over 130 orders in front of me.

Wait a sec... my post was for neim003. My bad, this is the wrong info for your order.

No, MSRP only. Matt at Steven Kia has been fantastic. Only thing is the $1000 deposit is non-refundable for 6 months, if it doesn't arrive after 6 you can get your deposit back.
