In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Installed Proximity Door Lock/Unlock Module

Success.

Shark Racing got back to me (pretty damn quickly) and asked me to flip the switch on the fuse box to reset the Can-Bus, however the Telluride does not have a switch on the fuse panel (neither inside or under the hood), so I looked up a youtube video, and disconnected the negative cable, and then the positive cable from the battery.

The procedure is to touch them off each other (no where near the battery) to reset the Can-Bus

The battery cables are pretty short in the Telluride, so I used some extra long sockets extensions to do this (be very careful, keep away from battery). I left the cables off the battery for an hour (I forgot about it to be truthful), and reconnected them. It worked instantly just like it used to.

So for anyone else that gets this hybrid issue, this seems to be the solution.

Glad you were able to get some feedback and ultimately, your problem resolved. I am going to keep my hybrid un-lock only on approach, manual locking setup as-is for now.

Hi I would like to buy a module is it still possible or I have to go through the module manufacturer's website. Thank you

So, could someone clarify for me if the alarm is still armed/disarmed on lock/unlock? Thank you!

Quick question about the proximity sensor module. What if we have one key fob left in the car on occasion (in wife's purse)? Will that affect the ability to have my fob lock/unlock the doors automatically? Any other unexpected behavior in this scenario?

Here is the installation guide. Let me know if you have any questions. I should have taken more detailed pictures, but didn't think I was going to do a guide. lol.
I got and installed mine yesterday. I love it that Shark Racing is printing out and sending your instructions with the module! :D Thanks for your work helping others!!!

I got so excited when I had it wired up that I forgot to plug the wiring harnesses back in before testing it. :ROFLMAO: After a confused/angry couple of seconds, I came to my senses and plugged the harnesses back in and everything worked as planned.

The module actually looks different than the one in your photos now, but the wires are in the same configuration as your photo, so it's just as easy to install.

I haven't yet installed my proximity module, but I have a question that may have already been answered. I can't seem to get consistent behavior of the mirrors folding when I walk away from the vehicle. Does the proximity module automatically note when you've left the vehicle and then lock/fold the mirrors? I assumed the module would lock/unlock as the mirror functions with the smart key, but I don't know what causes the mirrors to fold when I walk away, unless the module adds this functionality.

The stock behavior (no proximity module installed) works like this: When the Telly is locked, as you approach, the mirrors will unfold. Telly unlocked, the mirrors fold only when you either hit lock on the fob, or hit the button on the door handle. They will not fold simply when you walk away from the Telly. The proximity module does indeed add that functionality.

There is also the option to turn off the locking action, and then only the unlocking action will work. That's the way I have mine currently. I was frustrated by the constant locking/unlocking when washing the Telly recently.

Thank you for confirming! I'm coming from a car that had an automatic "lock when walking away" function that I was hoping to replicate, as I got used to it and now I constantly forget to manually lock the telluride 🙃

Well, nothing really happens right now when we walk away, right? Only on locking the vehicle. But, once installed, the module will auto lock which will fold the mirrors (if that setting is enabled in your vehicle settings).

I'm trying to install this on my 2022 Niro HEV
They gave me the manual for the Niro EV and the wiring is different.
I paid for the Kia schematic access and it seems like it should be on connector MF11 pins 25 and 26 but there is no wire there on my connector.
Any ideas?

I think I will have to tap the I/P-G connector behind the fuse box.

Installed and works perfectly!

Sometimes those diagrams are from the connector side, not the wire side, so it might be in reverse.

Hi...
Having some issues have I have installed to module. It is working as intended but:

1) Automatic lift gate (standing behind the car) - doesn't seem to work now. Not sure if diconnecting the battery reset the setting, or unlocking the door when i walk by prohibits the feature

2) What's annoying is unlocking the car for other people: Walk up to car, door unlocks. Hit button, door locks. Hit button again, driver's side unlcoks. Hit button AGAIN, all doors unlock. I'm almost thinking that I don't want the walk up unlock feature - the main thing that was important was the walk away lock. Is there a setting for this?

Thanks.

Not sure about the lift-gate as I have it turned off - I am always afraid it's going to open into the garage door in the garage. As far as the unlocking on approach, I have it set to have all doors unlock when I approach.

Oh! How do you do that? I think that would fix my problem! Edit: Nevermind, figured it out (double press setting in the dash settings).
