• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2023 Kia Telluride Discussion

The update of the USB ports from A to C is a very welcome change.

Moving my order to a 2023.

Already talked to my dealer, they don't know when the 2023 options list and orders will be opened but put myself in the queue. Had placed an order for a 2022 SXP Nightfall back in November of 2021. Will be switching to an X-line (not the X-Pro don't ever plan on any off-roading). It looks like the X-Line and X-Pro do have darkened side window trim and darkened front tiger grill. If it isn't truly black could always wrap it with black film. My sister bought a 2022 Genesis GV-80 and had all the chrome wrapped in black. Will add the black Telluride letters to the front hood as it has always been a feature I liked.

I know some like analog gauges, but I like the new display and along with the additional features added to the '23. Not a big fan of the new front-end, hope it grows on me over time. I do like the new rear-end changes.

Did your dealer have any order sheet info? Trims and options?

OTA updates instead of USB downloads since it now has 4G LTE on board. Would be nice if a USB update to the 2022 and below models could enable digital keys (fingers crossed) then Kia Connect might actually be worth subscribing to :sneaky:

Kia Connect7 services provide advanced embedded connectivity:
  • Digital Key: Allows customers to use their compatible iPhones, Apple Watches, and Samsung Galaxy smartphones as a virtual vehicle key to lock, unlock and drive. Furthermore, these keys can be shared with friends and family over text messages on available devices
  • In-vehicle Wi-Fi Hotspot8 connects up to five devices to 4G LTE-based internet
  • Map and Infotainment Over-The-Air (OTA) updates: Keeps maps and infotainment system updated automatically with the latest functionalities to deliver the best driving experience
  • Kia Access App with smartwatch compatibility through Apple Watch and Samsung Galaxy smart watches to access features like remote climate control, door lock/unlock and more9
  • Stolen vehicle tracking and immobilization capability
  • Connected Routing: The server-based system calculates the optimal route by using real-time and predicted traffic information based on past information and AI that has learned the user's preferred route.
  • Smart Speaker Integration lets customers use Amazon Alexa10 or Google Assistant11 enabled smart speakers or devices to remotely control some functions (such as remote start)

@Bohen did you notice the very clear front tow recovery bumper cover?

I'm guessing it will be complimentary for a period of time and then there will be a cost involved after that. If it was integrated into the cost of Kia Connect, that would make the kia connect subscription a better value. That's my guess though. nothing concrete to go off of.
"Wi-Fi Hotspot requires enrollment in Kia Connect. Trial or paid subscription data plan required. Wi-Fi Hotspot services require vehicle cellular connectivity and availability of vehicle GPS signal; certain services may collect location information. Wi-Fi Hotspot available only in the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. Wi-Fi Hotspot may be unavailable for model year 2022 and newer vehicles that are purchased or sold in Massachusetts."

The only issue I'd have with having them switch an order from the 2023 is the pricing. God knows what the difference will be. Granted it's a mild refresh (a bunch of new tech, screens, features and more) but judging by the current market we're in and the previous price increase from the MY21 to MY22 ($200-$700) with little changes, the unknown would scare me. Especially with the new X-Line addition replacing the mostly cosmetic Nightfall.

You'll have to ask yourself would you pay at least a minimum $1,000 for all these new features from the MY22 to the MY23? Will the increase in production be enough to keep the price down? Who knows.

From the car and driver article.

The standard Highway Driving Assist (HDA) semi-autonomous adaptive cruise control can now be upgraded to HDA 2, which adds lane-change functionality.

Fortunately, they agreed to sell it at MSRP. I expect a price increase, but how much is unknown. The loaded 2022 I ordered was just over $52K. I expect 2023 will be more. Would I pay $1000 more? Most likely, $2K more definitely not.

2 more trim levels, two more higher price-points?

Wait, you mean previous models can be updated? That is very intriguing.

I don’t believe Car and Driver was referencing previous models - what they were likely saying is that certain 2023 trims will have HDA 2, while the lower trims will retain the regular HDA.
