My Telluride finally was delivered to the dealer on Monday morning (7/1) and I picked it up on Monday afternoon. The vehicle was “lost” between GA & So Cal for almost 2 weeks! The dealer kept telling me “it’ll be here tomorrow” but it never showed. It was very frustrating since they couldn’t tell me any additional info so I was very skeptical if I would ever get the car. According to my salesperson, Kia of Irvine had 7 customers waiting on delayed Tellurides. They contacted the district manager who told them that the cars would finally arrive and be off loaded from the train on Sunday night to arrive at the showroom on Monday. I wasn’t holding my breath but it worked out exactly as promised. Btw, the car was pre-ordered by the dealer and they listed it on their local dealer website as being in-stock but the reality was that they only had the VIN at the time. I was lucky that I immediately received the VIN but the wait was almost 2 weeks longer than originally told. I highly recommend my salesperson, Howard. He was very honest and I highly respect him. However I’m not sure I can say the same about the finance manager, but it’s to be expected that they will tell you what you want to hear to try to upsell you on all the “extras”. The car is beautiful, solid & comfortable! My last 6 cars have been 3 BMW sedans, 2 BMW SUV’s and 1 Volvo SUV. This vehicle seems to at least be on par with those designs & build, and of course, the cost was amazingly better!
