Telluride sx lift and larger tires

What size tire would you suggest for an 18” rim. I’m looking into getting the trux 2.5” lift instead of the 2”. What do you think I’d be able to run tire wise on 18” rims?
The issue wouldn't be the vertical clearance (ie 2" vs 2.5") but the horizontal width within the wheel well. I'm running 265/65/17 Wildpeak which is an overall diameter of 30.6" according to Tire Size Calculator. I do rub slightly at full lock at the back bottom rear of the wheel well. I would say under 30.5" diameter should be okay. Keep in mind that diameters differ slightly between manufacturers too. On 18s, I would say 255/60/18 should be okay.

What if I do an offset that would put the wheel further out giving it a more aggressive look? I don't know much about this stuff so I wouldn't even know what kind of offset I would be looking for.

Hello everyone, finally got new wheels for my 2020 EX AWD. I know everyone on here is going 18s or 20s but I went a different route. Installed some 265/65 17x9. There is some rubbing but I just ordered the 2" lift kit and I'm hoping that fixes the issue. The stands are a little more aggressive than what I originally wanted but it's starting to grow on me the more I look at it.

Why do your tires stick out? I personally like the look but want to run 18s. Any suggestions?

I don't know how much of an offset you would need to fit 265s, but I think it would have to be pretty aggressive. Also, the further your tires stick out, the more stuff gets kicked up to the sides potentially scratching the paint.

Fair point

Back in April I had Discount Tire install Michelin CrossClimate2 (265/50R 20's) onto Shift Spring Custom Rims and I love them.
Yes, if I cut the wheels to the left or right to fast there is some rubbing but not bad. I love the look and the handling on the road is great.
I'm sold on the Michelin CrossClimate2 tires. They came out on April 1st with the 265/50R 20 size; just what I wanted. I had Discount Tire
install 235/60R 17's CrossClimate2's on my wife's 2014 Subaru Forester (We live in Minnesota) and that car never slipped once during Winter.
I thank these are the best All Weather Tire out there bar none.

Do you have lift on yours?

No. All suspension is stock.

Really nice...mine is 2.5 in with Nito tires 265/50/20
@CMorbius and @hansenb25 - I think both of yours look fantastic! I'm debating between the 2" and 2.5" kits from Truxxx and planning to keep my OEM 20" Nightfall wheels with an offset of ?? on 255/55/r20 rubber. I still have a couple of weeks before my delivery, but just think ahead.... Thanks for sharing yours with us.

Just took mine in to have it aligned since I put the lift on. My first oil change is free so when I took it in I asked them to check the alignment. They said it was off pretty good BUT it was free because it’s under 18k miles. Just an FYI.

Mine did not need an offset. I didn’t want to spend the extra money on wheels and I like the nightfalls. 2” I think is a good space, I went back and forth but for handling I figured two was better…… not that the extra hall inch is going to do much either way. You do you bro!

Does anyone have BFGoodrich K02's in 265/60 r18 with a 2" lift?

Wondering how they fit.

I've been running Goodyear Duratrac in the same size and they have been fine but I would rather have the K02's. They weren't available last time I needed tires but I can get them now. TIA.

I have the 2.5" lift kit and will be getting the BFGoodrich K02's installed hopefully on Friday. My tires are 285/65/18. Will let you know if I have any issues.

Sorry for the late update. The 285/65/18 were too big so we swapped them out for the 265/60/18 K02's on Black Rhino Arches. Tires look and fit great along with the 2.5 inch lift. Some very minor rubbing but not enough to worry about.

Looks great! Thank you. I ended up going with the Duratrac's again.

Hi guys, would the available 2.5" lift and some 1" spacers allow me to run the same setup as Mjake03's setup in the linked thread, but without as much rubbing?
