• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Hi! We placed our order in February and will hopefully be updating that order for the 2023s soon. I've seen discussion of various know problems (like Nightfall paint issues [I know it's no longer available] and the dash panel going black). What known problems exist with OPTIONS we may want to avoid?

Thanks in advance!!

You first need to specify the trim you have ordered. However, the Telluride offers few conventional options. Basically, you choose a trim, decide whether you want AWD or not, and then you may have a package or two that you can add (the Premium package (EX), the Towing package, and/or the Prestige package (SX)). And extra mood lights if you want. There is no reason to avoid any of these if you actually want the features that they include. In other words, choose based on your preference, not fear.

The only thing that probably deserves to be skipped based on merit, other than Nightfall, is the Rear Seat Entertainment System, which does not appear to be a great value.

Kia also offers various "accessories" such as mats, covers, cross bars, etc. These are generally unproblematic, but can typically be added after vehicle purchase as well.

Thanks for the reply.

Off the top of my head, we're planning on an EX, 2nd row bench (for dogs), towing package and I think that may've been it. Probably getting weathertech throw-ins, and replacing the tires at the dealer (or soon thereafter).

There is still a lot that is unknown with ordering a 2023, however with regard to towing . . . if I were getting an EX or SX, I would skip the towing package if it's like the one on the 2020-2022 and just get the towing option the same as the LX, S. The expensive to replace self-leveling shocks may be more trouble then they are worth to me. HOWEVER, if you are getting an X-Line then get the Tow Mode option. If you are getting the X-Pro then I think get you get improved towing.

Agreed on the Rear Entertainment System. Unless there is something less expensive with more flexibility in the 2023, I think you can get a much better aftermarket system for a fraction of the price.
