• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... This one is for the taller/bigger guys who already have the vehicle. I'm 6'1" and a pretty big guy. I tend to lean my right leg against the console when I drive. I test drove the Telluride but it was extremely short. Do any of you find that the grab bar on the driver's side is uncomfortable to lean your leg against? Thanks for any info!

I am 6'0" and have very thick legs. I tend to drive the same way and the bar doesn't bother me at all. I drove it on vacation 400 miles each way and never got uncomfortable.

I really appreciate the answer. I have a Telluride on order and there's a Palisade locally that I could buy much sooner. I love the Telluride's exterior far more. The interior is close. I like the all digital gauge cluster and the integration of the infotainment screen on the Palisade a bit more. But, I think the Telluride is even or wins in every other area. As long as they are equally comfortable, I'm going to sit back and wait for my Telluride.

Couldn’t agree with you more. I will say that the dash and everything grows on you. It’s a nice comfy car to drive. You won’t be disappointed

It's the waiting that is killing me. But at least I know that I'm getting what I want and not a substitute.

I am 6' tall and find it very comfortable but in all fairness to the conversation do not ever recall leaning my driving leg against anything - my left leg maybe. Another cool thing is that they put this little flat angled platform on the left side so that you can essentially match your leg position on both sides. I like that when on a long drive especially.

I know the waiting was absolutely the worst! We all sympathize - not so much as a forum but a support group. Just be sure and contact us before you jump off a bridge or buy something else ;) we are here for you.

It was close. I was about to go look at the Palisade. Vehicle I would get was in stock. But the side window trim is brutal on that thing and the grill is not my thing. So I'm locked in for the Telluride. I'm glad I found this forum. Definitely has helped!

6 even and used to cramming myself into sedans and crossovers. Can't say I've run into any issues with the grab bar, echo Rondakay regarding platform. Nice touch on Kias part, coupled with the great autonomous features never felt better after long drives.

OP, how did you make out with the console grab handle?
I am 6’8” and always rest my driving leg against the console.
I am looking at a Honda Pilot but like the Telluride better however doesn’t feel comfortable sitting in one at the dealers lot.
Haven't driven one yet.

Anyone have any further thoughts on this? I really like the Telluride, but I find the driver's grab handle restrictive to my knee movement. Has anyone tried removing or modifying it? Alternatively, have you found any workarounds to make it more comfortable? Thanks!
