There weren't any updates other than when my order was accepted, when it was in "production" status, and when it was being shipped with an estimated delivery date. Once it was shipped we did not have any updates available until the dealer got the call from the truck delivering it, but he let me know there would be limited updates. I wish they all had tracking numbers

Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. Just put our deposit down today for a Prestige SX. They said they can’t order it in the system yet but when they are I can come in to pick what I want. Here’s hoping magic will happen before November.

Not in/around Houston. I found a dealership in Fort Worth Area - Huffines Kia. What trim are you looking for?
I'm in the the market depending on pricing the S or SX trim.
If you're willing to get to Fort Worth, I'd call Huffines Kia McKinney (name in "Good Dealership Experiences" on this forum) or Corinth (ask for Alex) and see if they can place an order for you for the S or SX (non-prestige) trims with your preferred color combination. They were willing to place sold orders at MSRP - and their dealer fees are not outrageous (they are normal around $300) - but since these cars are selling off the truck - once they hit the lot, dealers are adding markup.
Stay away from Southwest Kia. You might be able to order from Archer Kia in Houston - but I didn't find them willing to order at MSRP - they wanted an additional $800 for window tinting (all but two windows are already tinted) and interior protection (basically paying for a 5 year supposed warranty on the leather).
A few months ago Fort Bend Kia told me they'd order at MSRP - you might try them too.
Joe Meyers Kia has been consistently adding markup - I doubt you'd be able to get one from them at MSRP. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the detailed response and I agree with what you said about some of these dealers. One that you listed (I won't say who) were asking on S trim models OTD for $45,000.
The market has certainly changed since April... clearly people are paying over MSRP or else they wouldn't ask. Crazy - could take a year or more to settle down. I think Kia could sell 10k+ per month of Tellurides at the moment - but Kia can't support that sales pace. Toyota sold nearly ~20k Highlanders last month, and Honda sold nearly 12k Pilots - there's definitely demand for this type of vehicle.

I see a few posts saying they were $2,500 in rebates. I did not see anything online about that on the Kia site.
