Instrument Cluster Failure

I took delivery of my 2022 Telluride SX Nightfall edition on August 18, 2022. I have 830 miles on it and my instrument cluster went blank (between the speedometer and Tachometer).
I did some research and found through the NHTSA they filed a recall on July 11, 2022 for instrument cluster failure due to "excessive adhesive used on the circuit by the board manufacturer", SC237.
I contacted Kia Corp customer service and 4 Kia dealers within 10 miles of me. I am told it will be 2 weeks for an appointment which does not say much about customer service. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone with many Kia people and do not feel after spending $56k on the Telluride, they really give a S&*!
Are there others that have had the same problem??

I have this problem.

I took mine in to have the panel replaced. They informed me that they did one of these repairs and failed to complete it and had to send the car from Florida to California to have it calibrated, and it took one month! How can I find a dealer that knows what to do correctly?

I am still waiting for the cluster which was delivered to First Kia of Simi (CA). They received it and now have sent it to a 3rd party to recalibrate and set the mileage. I am told I should have the new cluster installed before Christmas. Hope springs eternal....

I have a new 2023 Kia Soul. The instrument cluster went blank within 36 hours of owning it. I took it back to the dealer. They reset the computer and it worked for another 10 days. When it went out again, I had it towed by Kia Roadside Assistance because NHTSA considered this a danger to driving and issued a recall for the Tellurude. Also my wife refused to drive it to the dealer. There it sits with no loaner car and after less than 2 weeks of driving, with no indication of when it will be fixed. When I wanted to buy the car, I was the most popular man in Chicago. “Can I call you Jim?” When I need to get it fixed under warranty, nobody knows me.

They finally replaced the instrument cluster and it works. NOW, my speedo and my HUD are off by 3 miles an hour! I was told by the dealer they need to pull the cluster out to sync with the HUD. I will bring my Telluride in the next week.
Living in CA the lemon laws are an option but I don't want to pull that trigger until another major issue arises. I'm too old to get involved in a protracted legal fight. I still love the Telluride....just wish they paid more attention to detail on the electronics. 3rd party parts need to have better quality control before they are incorporated in new vehicles. I have read the vast majority of the fails/recalls with the Telluride are due to 3rd party equipment failures.

I was told by the dealer in Simi Valley CA that they can re calibrate any diff in speedo and HUD/digital speedo. They have to pull the dash off each time to recalibrate. I’ve had my dash pulled off 4 times and you can tell if you look close. It should not be a big issue but the dealer tells me it’s a 2-3 hr project. If your dealer doesn’t have a clue have them call Simi Valley Kia and ask for Brian in service. He understands the issue and knows the process fix. Good luck.
