• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I left my sunroof open during a downpour. Now my console electronics are fried along with every driver assist program. I have 11 warning lights on. It is at the dealer, but they can’t get to it for another week. My comprehensive insurance is going to pay for it. I hope someone can tell me what my chance of restoring it to new might be.

I’m not sure about your restoration question but I just want to say so sorry! I have stopped myself twice from opening the sunroof on mine when water was on it. It’s just so nice having a sunroof! Bummer about your new baby.

Sorry to hear about downpour, sharing your experience is much appreciated as it will remind those of us to remember to close that sunroof. We're all sending you good wishes that you will recieve your baby back in as good condition as she was before. Happy Holidays!

The chance of restoration is 100%, replacing all the fried electronic modules and drying out any wiring harness connectors should restore the car to fully functional.

I assume it will be expensive to determine each failed module and replace them.....

Thank you so much! That makes me feel much better about my terrible mistake.

I'd be interested to know given the poor availability of parts when this would be completed.

Good news! I just popped a bunch of fuses and damaged the forward facing camera. It’ll take 5 days to get a new camera, then I’ll get it back good as new. While waiting on the camera I’m having ceramic coating applied to the paint. I’m psyched!

Wow. Was hoping the date on the original post was April 1st. Guess not.
