CV joint leaking, truxx lift kit

The right front cv joint is leaking on my 2020 Telluride. I have the 2" truxx lift kit installed and Kia is telling me the CV axle assembly needs to be replaced and they won't cover it under warranty because the lift kit pushes the vehicle out of the stock specifications for the CV assembly.

Can anyone with knowledge about this chime in and tell me if this is correct about voiding the warranty?
 
I think they have a case. The 2" lift did probably change the angle of the CV boot and might have contributed to excessive wear. (Although I would think a lift more than 2" would be more likely to cause strain). If you got the lift to go off road and the CV boot has a tear from hitting something, I doubt they would cover it under warranty either. It didn't void the entire warranty, they just won't replace this one part if they can demonstrate to you that the lift changed the angle and lead to the leak. Maybe ask Truxxx for their take? This is from their FAQ:
"The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), an organization that works on behalf of automotive aftermarket manufacturers, has a complete list of your rights regarding warranties and aftermarket equipment. In order to refuse a warranty claim, the dealership must be able to prove that aftermarket parts caused the issue."

If the person who installed the lift kit did something improperly to create the problem you might have another recourse.

If you can compare your axle shaft height and angle where the CV boot is to a Telluride that isn't lifted, you might be able to convince them that the leak is not from the lift.

Should have removed the lift before trying to get it covered under warranty.

CV boot repair cost might be just as much as removing the lift and adding it back on. If the dealer refuses to cover it, I would just take it to a local shop and have them fix the CV leak.

Does anyone else have any long term experience with the Truxxx lift and CV boot issues (or success)? I really want to put the lift on mine, but not if I'm going to be having issues in a year or two.
 
The kit only came out in 2020. No one can answer that question yet.

I’ve had the truxx lift on my wife’s telluride for about 40000km. So far no issues with any driveline components. Only issue I have a clunk in the rear when dropping off a ledge or over a speed bump too fast. I’m assuming that’s the shocks tho.

I've got that same clunk! Have you been able to determine what is causing it? Do you have the tow package (I don't)?

Had same klunk. I found that when they made the kit the circumference of the rear spacers was too wide. It didn't sit down in the upper spring mount all the way. Had to remove and chamfer the edges and it fixed it.
