• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I know MGP makes Brake Caliper cover for 20inch wheels or larger. Has anyone found any that works on 18inch wheels?
I am getting the KIA Telluride SX Prestige X-Pro. They will run 265/60/R-18 PIRELLI SCORPION AS PLUS 3 SL with original wheels.
Please advise. Thanks in advance.

This has been talked about quite a bit. If it’s money… save a bit and have them painted or powder coated. Every 16 year old with a Corolla has colored plastic covers on their cars.

You have a really nice vehicle… give it a treatment that’s worthy. Discussions here seem to hint that colored calipers have jumped the shark. I had a Jaguar F-Pace that has red powder coated calipers that looked like they belonged on that high end sport trim. On a Telluride… maybe not so much. I had mine powder coated black and for me not seeing them is better than having them stick out. It’s just not that kind of vehicle in my opinion

Here’s a link to a different thread:

Another option is to paint them yourself. There’s a lot of info on doing so. It’s cheap and probably kinda fun. I think I paid about $900 or a $1000 to have them powder coated.

Don’t be cheap get the calipers powder coated. I don’t think the covers look good.
Your absolutely right. I’ll go do that. Thank you.

I think I’m I’m going to take both your advices and powder coat them. Thank you.

I think you’ll be glad you did. A lot of people have luck painting them, but the powder coating is by far the best way to go. The calipers on my 2020 Telly were powder coated and held up great. My wife (now ex-wife) still has it and they look perfect. The ones on my Jag were done in red given the trim level and looked fantastic up until it got totaled. The same guys did my new Telly and have always told me to wait a month before using any wheel cleaners to really let them cure and harden up. He said the same is true for paint. You’re making a good choice. Let me know if you have any questions. There’s plenty of folks here who did it themselves who can help. Post up on what you decide. I’m obviously partial to black for several reasons but you do you brother.
