Telluride 2021 Main Display LCD Screen is Dead

I know there was a recall on the 2022 Telluride's because of the LCD screen going blank, but has anyone had issues with the 2021 SX LCD screen going blank? The car is only 28 months since purchase but has 45,000 miles so the warranty is technically void. But the dealer quoted me $6500 to replace!!! One can get a decent used car complete for this amount. I have appealed to Kia through the dealer for some cost relief but have not heard anything for more than 2 weeks. Why on earth would Kia, or anyone, design such a system that is so expensive and yet only controls the audio/entertainment system prone to failure? The car operates fine. Has anyone had success in getting Kia to help with the cost? My first Kia is now a nightmare, not the pleasurable experience I was hoping for when I bought it.

not for Audio/Entertainment, which is 3yr/36k. 2021’s were released Q3 of 2020 I believe. So should still be valid unless over 36k miles driven.

Did you try pressing the Reset button to see if that would fix it? There are some that say using the reset button will restore a blank screen.
