In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Order to delivery time

Any reason why you have eliminated auto stop?
Absolutely. I've personally never liked it because if I'm waiting at a street corner and need to jump in to flowing traffic when a spot opens up - that extra second of the car starting before I take off causes me stress/concern. My wife doesn't mind it in her car but I think it's more a factor of how you drive. It seems to be a 50/50 on whether people hate it or don't mind it.

Now to be fair - I've never given the Kia implementation a fair shake. I had this on my last two Jeep Grand Cherokees and hated it and bought the compatible device for those cars. So for me - I pre-ordered this one for the Telluride and installed it as soon as I got home from the dealer.

Bottomline - this isn't really a feature, it's a way for the manufacturers to bump up the fuel economy to pass federal mandates - which is why you can't have it shut off as a default.

Do you mind sharing what Hendricks Cary is charging over MSRP? I bought from them 2 years ago but it had a vibration problem at 65MPH and Hendricks Cary was good about it, they took it back. I am starting to look again in North Carolina. Hope Kia solved the vibration problem by now.
Well we ordered a year ago so it may not be the same now, but roughly we had to buy an add on package of tinted glass, nitrogen in tires, door edge guards....they charged around $1300 for this. So to me that was the markup. They may have added more since then, there was talk of making people buy Lojack.

Welp just to close my story line out, just heard our Telluride will be at the dealer in a couple of days. This will actually put it just barely over a year at just over 53 weeks from the original order. Looking forward to having it.

Thank you for the explanation, I wondered what that was when I saw it in your links and I don't recall noticing the auto stop feature when I test drove a used 2022 Telly last year. My Telly should be delivered tomorrow, so I'm hoping it's delivered in time to be processed and that everything goes smoothly with the deal since I already bought the all-weather floor mats :D

Are your all-weather floor mats Smartliner? How you like it? I really want to get it but my build order is coming with the floor mats that I did not order. Dealer said this is common when Kia includes accessories that is not on a build order, and the dealer refuses to take it back. This is an extra cost of $225. Wife said since we already have new carpeted floor mats, she does not agree to spend another $200~ on another set of Smartliner floor mats. Sigh....

Picked up my new Telluride yesterday and I am in love:love:. It's gorgeous inside and out, drives great and I'm blown away by all the features you get with this SUV (and how many things you can configure).

Congrats! In your very first day, what have you loved the most?

I am picking mine up Wednesday, can't wait any longer....

I'm not Clow but I ordered the Smartliners and installed them yesterday. They weren't as thick as my OEM rubber mats in my Mazda, but they fit tight, haven't budged at all and I think they look good. I only have 43 miles on my car though, so more evaluation is needed

Honestly, I'm so overwhelmed by everything that it's hard to pick one thing. It's gorgeous inside and out and the digital dash looks amazing. I guess I'd say I love having so many options and things I can control within easy reach. Kia did a good job of designing an easy to use system. I love my heads up display too. Oh, and the cameras all around the car. I was pulling into my garage for the first time yesterday and was changing the camera modes on the touch screen so I could see how close I was to the side and front of the vehicle which is very cool. Still got out of the car to make sure the garage door would clear without scratching my bumper though.:) I still need to setup and/or review a lot of the features and I'm looking forward to doing that today.

Oh..and that I can hit a button to fold my mirrors in manually when needed

I actually bought the OEM all weather mats. I like them. I find that the 3rd party mats are bigger and cover more area which takes away from the overall aesthetic of the car - just my opinion. I too received the carpeted floor mats on delivery- so a waste of $225. Oh well. I got a good deal on the OEM all weather mats from another member on this forum so it was worth it to me.

Been trying to buy a Telluride in Northeast, WI for years with no luck. Dealers in this part only allow wait lists that are minimum 12 to 24 months, no option to order. Finally called a dealer in Milwaukee last week and they did have the ability to place an order with delivery times coming in about 6 months on average (which was fine as I was willing to wait until this fall for a 2023). So far, I'm pleased with the process. Placed the order on Wed 3/29. Received confirmation the order was submitted by the dealer to Kia on Fri 3/31. Received an update today that the order was picked up by Kia Sat 4/1 and now has a delivery ETA of Wed 6/7. Assuming the ETA is too good to be true and adding another 4 weeks to temper expectations. Either way, should have ordered from Southeast WI years ago. Possible the dealer under promised and over delivered, but also wonder if Kia is getting better at production, or order volume is manageable, or possibly a bit of both.
