• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I have a car wash membership, the first step is where they power wash the front of the car to get the bugs off. I have used them for more than a year. One day a couple weeks ago after the wash while I was towel drying the few water drops that get left I noticed a few spots that looked scraped away in various areas across the front bumper including one that the film was kind of flaking off still. They took pictures and initiated an investigation, their conclusion was that I had a rock chip and the power washing got under the paint and peeled it away. 1. I don't think it's paint, it looks like a film over the paint. 2. There are 5 areas and only one had a rock chip. They say they aren't liable and I'm not so concerned about that, I expected it (even though they say it's the rock chip's fault and only 1 of 5 spots had a rock chip), but should I be concerned it will get worse if I keep using that car wash? And what is the remedy for those areas?
