Yup, here is an article on it.Kia and Hyundai just released a recall on cars catching on fire due to oil pump circuit board overheating. Our tellurides aren’t on the list but the palisade is.
Well the Telluride is not on the recall list. Remember oil gets hot and the pump lives in the engine bay which is hot.ugh, im concerned. i went out last night and checked what i think is the oil pump and it was still too hot to touch almost 5 hours after driving it for only about 10 minutes??!! that doesnt seem right, and i have a trip to canada coming up in 3 weeks and im very concerned about that! ive only driven it on shorter trips. it only has 1100 miles on it..
all very true. i am just surprised how hot it gets in such a short trip. and then to be almost too hot to touch 5 hours later? that seems extreme to me. luckily im taking it in monday to have the brakes checked, so i will mention it then. hopefully thats just how it is, and wont be an issue when im in nowhere canada soon.. :/Well the Telluride is not on the recall list.
