• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... First time familiarizing myself with the engine layout and checking things over, I removed the dip stick to look at engine oil level and then had a little difficulty in getting it all the way inserted. There seemed to be above normal resistance compared to most cars I’m familiar with. Is this particular to Kia?

Not that I know of. Mine is completely normal - like every other vehicle I've had.

Well, I made an appointment because it is unusual. I have to force it into the tube once it’s about half way. lots of friction. Though it fits best with oil level lettering on handle facing toward the engine rather than toward radiator (Reading upside down).
