Completed maintenance interval log bizarre issue

I just purchased my 2024 Telluride SX on July 26. There were 31 miles on the odometer. Yesterday 8/12 on the Kia Access app, I looked at the Maintenance History Log and was stunned to see:

• 8,000 mile maintenance interval complete on July 26, 2023 with 31 miles on the odometer, Notes: "marked as completed from the vehicle"

• 16,000 mile maintenance interval complete on August 4, 2023 with 780 miles on the odometer, Notes: "marked as completed from the vehicle"

The car currently has only 618 miles total!!

How is this possible? I most assuredly did not log this info into the car or the Kia app

Sounds like dealer entered incorrectly

I'm not sure how the logs work. Are they dealer only entry and modification or can I do this from the car or the app?

Tried to find this in the manual but was unsuccessful....( I'm sure its buried in there somewhere )

Called the Kia Connect helpline and was told that this is actually quite common due to some bug. My dealer said essentially the same thing. Anyway…. Deleting these history events on the my Kia app deleted them on the vehicle as well. Interesting to see if they return

I had my 8000 mile marked complete with 18 miles. I just deleted them it in the app.
