• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... 2025 Landcruiser

That is badass. If the rear window rolled down I would have to buy it! But looking at the slope of the rear end, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen

That is one thing the 4Runner always had - the rear window rolled down. Not sure if the new ones do, but I wouldn't bet against it.
I guess the Land Cruiser had that too??

Yes, my dad had a 1970 Land Cruiser that had the power down rear window. So convenient.
Even if you could just lift up the rear window on the Telluride, it would be more convenient than having to open the entire tailgate each time. This is a useful feature that hardly any SUVs have anymore

I always loved - on my 1990 4Runner -- that the tailgate swung down (in addition to having the window go down into it). You could sit on it, open it for carrying long pieces of wood, etc. I remember on a regatta trip, on a 95 degree day, with my portable blender, sitting on the tailgate and making strawberry daiquiris in the parking lot at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans. o_O
I still remember how good those things went down after spending 5 hours out on the water in that heat!

I like it because you had instant ventilation with it cracked along with the windows. I've owned a 4runner, Landcruiser, and Sequoia (we can ignore that purchase). The Landcruiser is arriving right when I will be looking at selling the Kia. Here's to hoping the value doesn't bottom out and either the Telluride is all new by then or the Landcruiser is a decent option.

Every time the winter weather gets bad I wish I still had my ‘83 FJ60. Manual locking hubs, 13 mpg, and every body panel had at least one scuff, scratch, or ding. Two big, round headlights and a bumper that looked like a chromed I-beam. One year during a storm I drove it through several inches of snow to get home. I hit a couple bumps along the way that I realized later were downed trees. That thing was unstoppable.

It's official. Just need to see how it drives. As I allude to, the Kia has been a fine car but I've driven enough vehicles that I don't have long term faith in Kia and specifically this car.

That Landcruiser ain't going to come cheap.

Pretty excited to see these, was disappointed to hear it's only going to be available with a hybrid engine. Curious if that takes away from cargo space like the new sequoia.

I don’t think it’s a competition for the Telluride at all. Tellurides are no more off road worthy than any of the other mainstream SUVs, they all have packages now that are off road oriented, but really just dressing. The Land Cruiser’s competition is more along the lines of a LR Disco.

For many years, the Land Cruiser was THE vehicle for the wilds of Africa due to its overall ruggedness. I wonder how a hybrid LC will stack up?

I've found its only a 5 seater which eliminates it.
