Go Huffins in McKinneyI have been following the Telluride for acouple of months now and will buy one in August. I visited Southwest Kia in Dallas today and they are adding $10,000.00 to MSRP on EX Tellurides. I am sure the 5 Southwest dealerships will pay a severe price for their greediness. They claim they are getting it and currently have no inventory but they are taking deposits and orders at 10k over.

I’ve been shopping for an SX w/P for about a week now and Jim Ellis Kia of Kennesaw said they may have one inbound. I had to visit the VW dealer next door, so I said what the heck and told them I’d stop by.
One employee followed me around when I arrived, presumably since we had said hello to one time prior as we were window shopping. Then I sat down with Natasha, one of the managers. She had a $48k SX worked up with ~$1500 in market adjustment on the paperwork. I figured I would give her a minute to give the pitch... then as she’s going over the numbers she excuses herself and comes back with the same paper and $5k of market adjustment. I thanked her for time and said I was no longer interested.
I understand supply and demand but this just rubbed me the wrong way. Oh well, I’ll buy from someone else.
Correct, any incentives at the time is also off the price.Plus any incentives?
Was dealing with Kia of Newbern in North Carolina on a white ex with gray interior. I was told initially MSRP minus $1500 for KIA Financing plus their $689 advertising fee. I was ready to buy then the Finance Manager raised the KIA interest rate from 2.9 to 3.9 because he said he could and then they added a $998 fee for stuff like free car washes, Nitrogen for life, touch up paint service, etc. I am finding that most KIA dealerships have those $1,000 to $2,500 add on fee that they hit you with come crunch time. My opinion is KIA's products are getting better i.e. the Telluride and the Stinger but their dealerships and or their business model is outdated. I have bought GM, Ford, Jeep, Mazda, etc. over the years I have never seen such nonsense.
Yes, this experience is pretty typical - see our early discussions on this topic. Kia dealerships are well outdated in their sales practices - but there are a few good no-nonsense dealers out there - maybe 1 out of 7? That's been my experience - but I did find one, and that's all I needed. Your best bet is to order what you want from one of those no-nonsense dealerships and ensure you have the price agreed to at order - then wait. Unfortunately, trying to buy off the lot (an unsold order) is frustrating because there isn't sufficient inventory and you'll get jacked around... and they'll waste your time... "when can you come in for a test drive?"

Get ahold of Kia Muncie, they can probably have it shipped pretty cheaply or you can make a road trip out of it. They just got one in for someone in Virginia... can't hurt to see your options.costco no help in Florida, could not locate one, let alone get a negotiated price on a telluride.
Agreed … I went through every So Cal Kia dealer within a 100 mile radius. Kia of Irvine was the worst!!!! Most others just simply stated that they are asking for X thousands over MSRP non-negotiable. I got my SXP from AllStar Kia of San Bernardino for $1000 off MSRP + conquest +KMF incentive. They threw in cargo tray and mud flaps as well.
Agree that in Northern CA, it seems just as tough. Not sure why more dealers can't work via the phone/email as opposed to the, come on in technique.
Was the tray and mud flaps added from factory and you didn't order with them or did the dealer add them from parts inventory?
