If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... So, Friendly Kia, changed their name. Ken Gandley Kia. Port Richey. I have a ‘23 BMW X5 M50i. Just got into. Well, my needs have changed. My Dad, was just diagnosed with an aggressive oral cancer. He lives 8 hours away. No. I didn’t give them my details. Just tried getting back into a Telluride. Anyway. The Sales Manager, actually finance manager, stated they would have to auction my vehicle off. Because of that, they couldn’t offer me more than $81,000. On a $94,000 vehicle. I didn’t expect to get what I paid. I’m not that dense. But, you’re also not going to rob me blind.

Why would they need to auction off a 2023 how many miles are on it?

Tomorrow my 22' EX Telluride hits 20,000 miles. Absolutely love the car and all its amenities. It has gone from NY to Calif. and back. Then NY to Florida and back. The dealerships ask me to trade it in for a 23' or 24' model . No thanks. They screwed me over on the original deal and I will never buy another car from that dealership ever again. The dealer changed owners, but the salesman and finance thief is still there screwing people over. I am happy that there is now a Kia dealership 5 minutes away and I can use them for service. Although , they tried to get me to pay $75 for a new cabin filter. I bought one for $12 bucks and it takes 2 minutes to install it. It hasn't really snowed any significant amount in two winters and I haven't had the opportunity to see how it drives in the snow. Global warming has been very good to the North East.

I would HIGHLY recommend Novak Motors. They sell cars that are usually only 2-3 year old , very low mileage , off-lease vehicles. They have showrooms in NY (Long Island) , New Jersey and Texas. Hopefully one is near you. The cars are near mint and some of the cars still carry the factory warranty's because they are such low miles vehicles. I bought a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was in perfect condition. I have been a car guy my whole life and it was a very pleasant experience , no hard sell salespeople. The NY office even has a engine /transmission lifetime warranty as long as you own the car. I also bought an extended warranty for $2000 extra that covers 3 pages of parts. Replacing an alternator can cost $700 in NY. Check out their website. There are many rumors that Carvana is going under. Be wary.

We had a crappy experience at Feldman Kia of Novi, MI when we were car shopping. We were very interested in Tellurides, which we hadn't driven yet. A salesman named Michael told us that we could not take one for a test drive because he didn't want to put miles on the car. We were dumbfounded. He also told us that WE would have to keep calling HIM to see if any inventory came in that would meet our needs (which were fairly basic, actually). We tossed his business card out the window as we drove away from the dealership.

We also were unimpressed with the Glassman dealership in Southfield, MI.

We then went over to Summit Place Kia in Auburn Hills and were fortunate that Michael Longstaff came out to help us. He was down-to-earth, informative, no-pressure, and helpful. An all-around nice guy. He stayed on top of the inventory they were getting and we had ours 4 weeks later. I would definitely buy from him again. He's someone I feel comfortable referring my friends and family to.

Avoid cherry hill kia in NJ. I’ve had two horrible experiences now. Bought a 22 carnival in 2021 - went there for a test drive by myself and I knew more about the car than the salesperson did. He told me to “bring my husband back” to finish up the deal after I told him I just started looking. Then text me later with a $15k market adjustment 🙄

Now looking for a 24 telluride and went there last night because it was on our way out. When I made an appt I let them know we would just be looking since we just started deciding on a new vehicle. The sales manager was a total jerk and made several condescending comments. Wouldn’t even give us pricing info since we weren’t buying that day and basically walked us out. The place is also a filthy dump - will never go there again.

Got an SXP from manahawkin Kia at MSRP, great deal for my trade and did the deal all over text.

Call the salesman back and tell him that you made a "customer adjustment" and will be buying elsewhere.

I have bought Chevy, Jeep, Honda, GMC, Toyota etc. Most all go through the same school of crappy customer service. Even though you don't usually get good deals, CarMax is about the best you're gonna do for easy purchase

Worst Dealer Experience- Napleton Kia Carmel, IN
Here's the review I posted for this dealership. I have to also say I've bought over 30 cars in Indplas and I'm familiar with most dealerships in the area- BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, Honda, Acura, Ford, Mazda and many used car dealers... here goes:

Worst car buying experience ever! I confirmed my appointment three times all the way up to pulling into the parking lot. I was told to expect the red carpet customer experience. When I walked through the doors, four sales guys were huddled around the front desk looking at their phones. Not one looked up until I said hello, I'm here for my appointment. No one knew who I was or why I was there. Not close to a red carpet welcome, let alone a "welcome to Kia, how may we help you" greeting. After two hours of battling with two sales guys and two managers on my trade-in value I started walking toward the door. They called me back and I had urge them to honor their advertised price of the new car, we finally had an agreement after close to three hours. What dealer would literally have two managers and two sales guys sit across from a customer at the same time? Maybe a little adversarial? Ya think? Again I waited. I agreed to bring back a cashier's check and have my wife sign paperwork the next day. When we arrived, again, no one knew why we were there or had our paperwork ready. Ultimately, they handed us the keys, pointed to where the cart was parked and a manager handed me a questionaire to complete that had their prefered answers highlighted! Seriously! Not once in my experience

I hope you answered the questionnaire truthfully with some extra comments thrown in for good measure. Although, when I had my issue over not getting my 10 free oil changes ....they reply I got from Kia Corporate was......" Kia Corporate does not get involved with the sales process". That's nice to know. Chances of me ever buying another Kia are next to nil. Thanks for the heads up Kia Corporate !

I also had a bad experience at a car dealership. The salesperson was pushy and lied and the after-sales service was terrible.
