• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... I've gone into the menu settings that explain how to "Reset" my timer, but the options for adjusting the mileage for the alerts are Greyed out! What gives with that? How can I adjust to alert for oil changes at 6,000 miles instead of the default 8,000?

Hopefully it is the same ... for my 2021 SX, I use the steering wheel buttons - on the the right ride, the top-left button with the pages icon. Keep clicking till you get to the "Convenience" menu, then scroll down (using the rocker up/down button just below the pages button) till you get to service interval. Press on the rocker button for a few seconds, release and wait a few more seconds. A prompt should come up asking if you want to reset the maintenance minder.

Have to go to the dealership and have them unlock those options for you. I had to do that for mine.

This is one of my pet peeves about this Korean carmaker. Kia leaves it up to the crooked dealers.
I've tried to enter my oil change information into the Kia Owners portal, and it will not accept my information, nor does it update my oil changes that are done at the dealer. My suspicion is that they are preparing to avoid warranty claims this way.
