  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my SUV" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your leather interior, please post in the Interior section - and so on... Looking to find out how many of us use a desktop or notebook over a smartphone. I use a desktop almost exclusively as I'm at my desk all day. I imagine some other people are in a similar situation - or perhaps even prefer a larger screen. If that's you, please let me know.

Thank you!

I spend much of my time with a docked Microsoft Surface tablet attached to a lot of peripherals and a couple of NAS boxes. Full-sized monitor, keyboard, 4-button mouse, etc. Hard wired Ethernet. I see nine USB devices plugged in. A couple of scanners, a Wacom tablet, label printer, etc. Every evening I undock the Surface and take it upstairs. Every morning I sit in my recliner with a stylus and my coffee and read a number of news sources. When the time comes for more than browsing, the Surface goes back into the dock and I am back in my office chair.

Desktop or tablet. Always.

laptop plugged into a dock with 2 monitors, keyboard and mouse...hate using a phone and hate using laptop controls...i only use a phone when i have to upload photos since i don't want to have to transfer the photos from my phone to my computer

That sounds like a great setup. Very nice... I have a desk that rises and lower so I can stand at it. I should get a treadmill to put in front of it. :p

So much easier on the eyes for me...

Sounds like a nice setup. I used to do a ton of work off a laptop but upgraded to a desktop in 2017. I'm probably due for a new computer soon...

never a phone

I TRY to stay away from the internet once I'm done with work, but I often get drawn back in by something...

We are lucky enough to have a summer and winter home. Both equipped with dual monitor setups to take laptops. If I'm just casually browsing, the laptop is plenty good enough. Serious browsing or work, I move to the dual monitors and continue there.

NO CELL PHONE BROWSING, hell I don't even like reading texts.

Point37 summed it up best for me.

Sounds like you have good setups. Yeah, I don't even like reading texts either. :p

Me! Most of my browsing is done via desktop/laptop.
Like probably most folks here, I also have multiple displays, so it definitely helps.

Desktop/laptop users... I'm working on a little project/website and wanted to know if any of you would like to create an account on it - and upload a few pictures of your Telluride. It can be accessed via mobile browser as well, but that's not entirely ready for testing yet.

Any takers? I could use a hand...
